    Pet Species

The gentlist is probably the genus grammostola. They are slow growers, but very docile.

    Substrate preference poll

My vote goes for coco fiber for its versatility. Can be used dry or damp, and it is easy to clean. And since you only need one kind, can be cheaper and saves space from having multiple type for different kinds of setups. Lately I've been using a "forest bed", which has coco fiber...

    What in the world???

Dang... and I was going to vote "psychedelic 60's painting". :p

    New L.Parahybana sling!

Congratulations on the new T! Peat moss would be good, as well as coconut fiber. I would change it out as soon as possible.

Plano Pets is where I got my singapore blue. They usually have a few different ones to choose from.

Continually impressive pics. The molts of the rosie and the boehmei are beautiful!

    Baby Steps

My Singapore Blue seems more arboreal now since the molt last week. Time will tell if she stays that way though. :)

    Aggresive / Defensive stance

If you left the cage open, I doubt it would hunt you down in the night. Your T sounds like it is not just defending its home, but the land around it as well... like a ranch.

Met your love because of a T?

I'm sure there are a few in Texas, but I don't personally know any. And everything is supposed to be bigger in Texas... sheesh.

    Tempiture

Agreed. 75 will keep virtually every T happy.

This is a Singapore Blue. ;)

My plans to get a Grammostola pulchra - peer review?

Also try to find Grammostola sp. "North". They're basically a variation of a G. Rosea. I have 2 that are super easy to take care of, and they are super gentle like a pulchra. They may be a bit harder to find, but not as expensive and rare as a pulchra.

    So addicting

Speaking of pretty and blue, this may be next for you (if you don't already have one)

My plans to get a Grammostola pulchra - peer review?

To get a female that's sexed and still not even an adult, prepare to spend a lot of money... IF you can find one. Any breeder is not going to have one, so you'll have to try to get one from someone who happens to be selling theirs. And I've seen them go for $300... UNSEXED.

Met your love because of a T?

Wow. That's what I call tackling a fear head on. You may be able to lead some other people to do the same thing.

Met your love because of a T?

I think this is one of the most important things in a relationship, is TRYING to understand your mate, and why he/she does what they do. In return, we have to try to understand the things they like. We may not get into it, but we can at least understand it. Major kudos to her.
