That's an interesting idea. I'll do some more research. What's a species that wouldn't cause much algae growth? I'm not fond of algae lol. Although it wouldn't really bother a caiman that much I don't think. Just give him more places to hide and ambush my hand! ;P
Actually, I haven't. Eventually, with the final enclosure I build for it when I have more space and he's bigger, etc. etc. I plan on using live plants though. I'm going to make it's final enclosure as natural as possible.
The Scales n Tails in Littleton. The South store, on Broadway.
I have one H. lividum left, they got the rest.
They still have a big P. regalis and a decent sized P. irminia there. The North Store in North Glenn has a P. pederseni female and a P. regalis female. The West store doesn't...

Picked up the P. miranda I mentioned in a post a while back today for a whopping 108$. I also traded 5 of the H. lividum I had for a P. pederseni and one H. lividum for another filter for my messy ass caiman haha. Anyways...Here are the pictures:
P. miranda
P. pederseni
Messy ass...

Another good sign of a troll is someone who always has to have the last word, no matter what. Even if it means demonstrating ignorance and immaturity. ;P
And regarding the OP.
A couple weeks is about the max they can go and remain healthy, as someone else said. If it goes off eating, try...
