Any one keeping ornates/pac man frogs?

They have a packman frog at my local petstore. It doesnt move very much, but the storekeeper says hes especially vicious when disturbed and has sharp teeth. They say its a voracious eater and will eat anything from worms to pinkie mice M

You wont wish to be him...

I agree with the notion that you might want to stun the animal before giving it to the T. It might not be as facinating to watch, but you wouldn't want to risk losing a favorite pet.

Is my A. seemanni drowing itself???

Ok, forget the misting. As long as my T isn't retarded he can do the backstroke in there for all I care. I'll just make sure his water is fresh and topped off all the time so he can get his laps in :D

Is my A. seemanni drowing itself???

I'll try doing that, it is rather dry in the house. But none of my other Ts seem to be dehydrated. Also I've been reading up on A. seemanni, and it seems that they're not really great eaters in general, so maybe hes not in premolt after all. He still might be though :?

Is my A. seemanni drowing itself???

I've got a male A. seemanni that I'm 99% sure is in premolt right now. For the last couple of days he has been hovering over his water dish for some reason. I looked at him just now and watched him submerge himself about halfway in the water dish. Hes not completely under water, but his book...

    Proper temperature?

Just make sure the Ts have plenty of water. Artificial heaters will dry their enclosures very quickly.

    To Those That Power Feed

forgive my newbie ignorance, but what exactly IS powerfeeding? :? Is it simply forcing an animal to eat more than it needs? M

    P.Murinus-thinking of aquiring..

My OBT sling which I bought last month for $5 off of Philth seems to be both aboreal and terrestrial. Hes dug a corkscrew type tunnel all the way to the bottom of the vial and also make little web hammoks almost all the way to the top of the vial! So far I'm enjoying it. But like...

    hiding T

You'll soon learn that 4 days is nothing. Come back when your T hasn't moved for 4 months. Even then it still would'nt be that strange.

    Bird chicks vs. pinkies

Just had a thought...Has anyone ever tried presenting small bird chicks as prey to aboreal species? I think a small finch chick or something like that might be a better choice than a pinkie mouse b/c it offeres roughly the same nutritional value, but is closer to something an aboreal T might...

    Frozen Feeders?

I've never given my Ts frozen crix, but I presented dead crix on several occassions and they've always been eaten. IMO a mixture of both live and dead prey is a good thing. Its good to present live prey to give your T a workout and allow it to excersize its intinctive hunting behavior (and to...
