    Well, guess the wasp just didnt burrow and lay its egg yet. I believe the egg laying bit comes after the T is secured in a burrow or something. But yeah, it would be great to know exactly how the T ended up in this situation...

    yeah, will work on the pic...tho im quite sure it aint a h.lividum...tho i could still be wrong cos i havent seen one above 5"...been awhile since ive seen mine but as far as i can remember they are significantly different. And the larger pads on the tarsus and metatarsus area seem to sway me...
