i want to breed my own crix since the pet store wants to charge me $30 US for 500 pinheads. i want to know everything there is to know about how to breed crix. can someone point me in the right direction?
doesn't it cost like 25 dollars to ship a T? im gonna raise them until they are big enough to eat the smallest crix at a pet store, then sell, trade, and give them away.
i just transferred all the little 1st instars from my rosea eggsac into their own containers. i put them into 2 oz. deli cups filled with 1/4 bed-a-beast. i came out with 182 spiderlings and 3 eggs-with-legs, for a grand total of 185 spiders. All this from a spider i didn't even mate. i...
i just opened my first eggsac and transfered all the slings to a rearing container and would like to know at what time should i start separating them into their own containers. they are moving at this point, but very slowly. they are all white and moving around very slowly.
please help me with my sac (of spiders)
I just opened the sac from my rosie. i left it in her care for about 30-33 days. most of the embryos were "eggs with legs." i put them in a rearing container like the one described in the sticky above, only i used white cotton cloth for the hammock...
as far as i can tell, she's about 8 inches. this pic is a couple of months old, now her entire abdomen is almost completely bald. i don't know why. she lives relatively stress free.
well it has been a week since my rosie made an unintended eggsac. so far she has been taking very good care of it. she has been rotating it very frequently. she has been guarding the entrance to her hide/burrow. overall, this has been a totally weird experience, with my rosie producing an...
O.K. my rosey just laid an eggsac. im going to leave it with her for about 30 days, then move it to a hammock style incubator and take it from there. problem is, i don't know what to do from there. i have no experience with breeding, or even slings for that matter. what can i do to make...
she has not been mated in my care, however, that doesn't rule out the possibility. like i said, she hasn't molted in my care and i have no idea if she was mated or not. tarantulas can store sperm for long periods of time though, right, until the next molt if im not mistaken. if anyone has...
well, i checked in on her and guess what. the matt i thought she was making was not a matt at all. it seems as though she made an eggsac!! i cant say if it is fertile or not b/c ive only had her for 7-8 months and she has never molted in my care. im not sure what i should do if it is a...
i have been using jungle mix and bed-a-beast. both have worked well so far. the only thing is that you have to let the bed-a-beast dry out before you can use it. i failed to do this the first time i used it and ended up with some mites.
