Was curious about the hype of this centipede regarding pricing, identification, claiming to be giants by suppliers. Just got one to check it out.

I found them at Torrey pine natural reserve. Collecting is strictly prohibited.
I was trekking there and later walk down to the beach that connected to the park. It was a really nice walk. I love it.

As i read from another website, Vaejovis puritanus appear on the coastal hills in San diego and thats where exactly i found it :)

Recent trip in San Diego, CA.
First time seeing this live specimen in the wild. I would very crudely guess is Vaejovis sp./ Vaejovis spinigerus? and gravid.

I don't remember the exact date, but i was there around 7-8 years ago. The pictures of the jetty was still the same with the floating restaurant and sampans as i recall vaguely. I was living just up the road from the picture in 1 of the chalets.

Actually the best way to reach the jetty is by driving there. Much faster ;) Though you can enjoy the river scenary by boat.

If yes then the origin of this centipede is much more wide spread in south east asia.
And i agree with its appetite. Normally inverts i kept adjust to their surrounding after being disturb or moved. But this ignore all, and fed immediately when i brought it home. Too...

Its not as bad for me, like numerous mosquito bites. i got it all over my hands, pretty itchy but bearable.

Thanks for the feedback, my scorpling is doing well now with cricket, though i would try lobster roach once my crickets ran out.
I did crush feeders but i prefer feed live for my scorpling and they prefer that thn died.
