i just got into them recently. i always wanted them, but the wife was totally against it. after my cat passed (i had her for 16 years) i wanted another pet, but with the divorce and all i wasn't able to get around to it. where i live now i'm not allowed furry 4-leggers, since the landlords are...
i was going to suggest something like that. i have a gaming mat that is divided in to clearly visible 1" squares. plopping the T down on one of those with an overhead shot would give a good indication of size.
yeah, i'm rescuing 2 more from him. he's obviously never bothered to do any research. i'm planning on redoing those when they get here, as i assume they'll be in the same crappy condition.
yes, scottyk, i know it's not a litterbox. but if you had seen what she was in, you would have been...
3 weeks. when she first arrived, her enclosure had barely an inch of substrate, it smelled moldy, and there was a sponge in the water dish. not to mention it was littered with carcasses. at least she piled most of those around the water dish.
i just wanted to get her into a clean enclosure...
oki. just thought it odd, nomally she acts more like a chia pet.

my T has been acting a bit odd since i cleaned her enclosure. i dumped her substrate, washed everything with hot water (no soap), dried, and put a nice 2-3" layer of peat in. since being put back in she's been walking around the enclosure, climing the sides, or at the very least putting her legs...
i thought my T was a B. Vagans. unfortunately, i was incorrect. i was able to have some people ID her, and she is, in fact, a P. Scrofa. oops. at least the care is similar, so i didn't end up stressing her.
she is, however, a female for sure.
anyone know what the longevity of this species is?
Erin, thanks for the link.
i see why no one uses it. it leaves a LOT to be desired....let me see what i can come up with on my lonesome, then everyone can poke holes in it.
i'm a bit interested...i write software for desktops and pocketpc's (http://www.pocketpcapps.net)
i see there used to be a link to some sort of software for inverts that no longer exists. if you could get freeware that allowed you to track your collections and breeding, what sort of data...
really? that would be great once i have a bunch of T's (which i'm now planning haha) but for now the place i'm going sells cubic foot bags for 4.49$
called them today. might call the florist across the street first to see if they carry it, would save me a walk across town with a big bag of...
