    Goliath, Live mice?

6 inch blondi > SMALL fuzzy mouse. My snake wont accept dead food so it gets live mice, youd be surprised how vicious they can be then they havent been grabbed properly. Snake has ended up bleeding a few times [nothing serious]. These wounds were vs armour plates... Versus spider might = KO.

    t blondi or h lividum?

Yeah mate, as long as you research its living requirments then you'll be fine. Lividums are old world as far as I know which means they are typically from africa, have no urticting hairs to defend themselves with therefore usually have nasty venom and no qualms about using it. Its nice to...

    t blondi or h lividum?

I never had a lividum, but id rather not have a pet hole so for me itd be blondi. Beware youll get a load of people telling you not to have either cus you are *so* inexperienced.... ^^^ Like the oh so helpful guy above, you know you could say why you dont recommend either and point out a...

    Dead or dying Cobalt Blue????

Another point about heat mats is that its recommended you heat one side of the enclosure, from the side, that is to say do not have a heat mat underneath the tank. Spider = Hot = Spider burrows to get cooler = gets too hot = burrows deeper.

    Measure your centipede thread !

I would figure the giant giant giant giant giant millipedes in australia or wherever would be the largest [mass] arthropod.

My understanding is that they add chemicals to buffer the PH of the compost and more than likely have added [maybe not harmful] fertilisers natural or chemical...

    My blondi is roaming.

Well she was very aggressive coming out of her burrow and was gently stridulating at me the whole time, but once she was on the carpet she was slow and doing the "Slow leggy plod along tarantula" walk. Shes ever so light and her tummy tickles because its so fluffy, it was remarkable how...

    My blondi is roaming.

You measure from hind leg to same side fore leg right? Is that sitting or stretched out? I will have to hunt for something bigger for her, or she will have to hang on til i move house in 12 weeks. The burrow is larger than it appears though, you can see the bottom of it in the bottom left side...

    My blondi is roaming.

More roaming/climbing Tank, spider at the far left. The burrow goes deep into the soil as well, it backs into it about 14 inches or so.

    My blondi is roaming.

I will have to update with a better overall pic, the spider has plenty of space tbh and a decent sized waterdish and a specifically built burrow.

    My blondi is roaming.

S/he moulted recently and is now probably about the 8"+ mark in terms of leg span, ever since this moult I have woken a few times to see this hulking spider traversing its tank trying to get out of there. From what I can tell the spider is healthy and is lovely to look at, rich brown colour...

Totally serious question....why do you hold your Ts if you do?

Because someone just wants to hold what they paid for once in a while? How many times must this topic be run over...
