Well, that's the first thing I did, as mentioned in my post. Ken the Bug Guy is like all the rest. No text-based pricelist that's easily printable. I will say he's got a nice web site, though....the only nice one I found in my quick search. Actually, his was the first site I found via Google...
Kind of a weird situation. I have a cousin who's been locked up for 10+ years. He's getting out soon (about 2 months), and wanted me to go find pricelists for current vendors of tarantulas, print them and send them to him, so he could think about starting up a new collection when he gets out...
I have seen Dumeril's bordering on 10 feet, but it's rare. Here's a few pics of my female. She's 7-8 years old. I've never measured her, actually, but I guess she's close to six feet. I've mated my pair both of the last two years, without success. If it happens this year, I'll let you know!
No, a love tetrahedron. I swear, you Christians have trouble thinking in three dimensions sometimes. Sorry, Katie.....J/K.....couldn't help myself....... {D :wicked: {D {D
An excellent analogy! I definitely had my Pokemon phase. Twice I think. I even kept my slings in the little red & white plastic balls from Burger King Kids' Meals.
OK, I'm kidding about that last part.............!
None here! But after at least 2 public accusations of lax housekeeping, I simply had to post a defense! I mean. I DO have dust on everything......just not sand.
I've dropped enough Pop-Tarts to instill at least a rudimentary level of hygiene.... {D {D {D
Oh, SURE! No one here would judge me.......! {D
The pics were done with a Nikon D70. I got the oculars with a Quantaray 70-300 mm lens, standing about 5 feet away. For the others, I was very close, using the stock Nikon 18-70 with a Quantaray +4 magnifying filter.
I'm positive this...
OK, I feel I must clear something up here! When I attempted to chase her into view, I removed the cork bark from the cage, and some dirt and sand fell onto the bench. I cleaned it up after the photos were done. I'm not Mr. Clean--well, to be honest, some people call me Mr. Clean, but for...
I just got a new female P. regalis from a friend. I didn't have a chance to put her in the bug room immediately, and left her by the front door. A departing guest showed some interest, so I opened the cage, planning to chase her into view briefly. Well, she got a little spooked, and shot out...
Frodo
I have 3 subfusca spiderlings. I spent an hour taking pics of one before realizing it was missing a leg! Oh, well.....the pic's not the best, anyway, but worth posting, I think. Still getting used to the D70.....
I have a contact in the "Ministry," and I have obtained the original photo of skinheaddave. It seems the "overexposure" had a very good reason behind it.......
