I am not sure exactly how far south the range is. But if you are near Alexandria, you can find C. vittatus. The best places to look are on dead fallen trees, and trash piles. Just be careful.

I think you would enjoy a bearded dragon more, than the smaller lizards. They get to a decent size, but not too big. My oldest one is eight years old, and still is very active.

I have one too. They are great T's, with no special requirements. Just give her fresh water, and a couple crickets a week. Good luck with your new spider.
