because h macs are a pretty hardy species that doesnt need too much water or humidity, and a food source shouldnt be a problem i find lost lobster roaches every once in a while.
i was feeding one of my .5" H mac slings and he blasted out of the container! usually i can find my slings or dont worry cause they most likely wont survive. but an h mac sling will survive. Any thoughts, ideas, similar experiences?
With reduncus and pul her I feel they need more spraying then irminia and cambridgei. I make sure the substrate is moist almost wet and spray every other day. These need more spraying then any other spp. I've had in the past. And they grow fast! Mine grow double in size on each molt.

These work great for semi arboreals like p muranus, h macs. If I were to use this for a fully terresestial Ts I'd make sure there's alot of substrate near the back like a hill. The more substrate the better and should only house the really large terrestrials like A. genics T stirmi.

Since no tarantula should be "handled" just dive in and get what you like the best. P regalis really isn't for beginners, but if you think you can handle it and like how they look get one. I know most people would disagree with me, but my second was a OBT. And I had no problems (besides for a...

Exoterras are much cheaper on amazon even with the shipping. They even make these new nano sized exoterras that are perfect for juvie arboreals.

H lividum was my first old world and it was a crash course in defensive/aggressive spiders I had no idea they where that mean. I'd stay away from h lividium and obts for now. Pokies have bad venom but are much calmer in my experience.

I agree I also live in az and had one of these wondering what it was. Its most likely a male. They get big in their post-ultimate and almost can pass for a female. Could also be a Aphon. "New river" not sure if that so was identified or name changed since I haven't seen "new rivers mentioned on...
How do they differ versus breeding other pokies? I've bred p regalis and other pokies just fine. I plan on breeding p mettalicas soon and I'd like to do it right the first time

Its funny, all the pokies I have that are visible are all the gravid ones. Not sure why you think they'd be the least exposed. And none of of them are hungry, I offered them all food but their turning all the crickets I give them down.
