Emerald Tree Boa vs. Green Tree Python

I can't speak for ETB's but I will say as a yearling my girl would snap at any heat source regardless. I do believe a lot of it is just the snake itself much like T's. As a general Biaks and Biak crosses tend to be snappy, which is what she was. Over time she settled down, mind you I don't...

Emerald Tree Boa vs. Green Tree Python

Good book to invest in I bought before getting mine is "The more complete Chondro" by Greg Maxwell. Lot of myth dispelling and keeping advice and pointers in there. The one thing I learned threw keeping a Chondro is they are not as up and die as they are made out to be. Captive bred is a lot...

Johns right. You'll know. When you look at the sides as she gets bigger you'll see little white round objects in there. If you look close enough you'll make out the babies threw the skin. It's very cool to see btw. Third picture looks like there might be something going on in there but that to...

What do you think - Leopard Gecko Vs. Pacman Frog?

along with all the previous I say go with the LEO. No constant water changes, more active, and you can handle the LEO. Well I guess you could handle the packman but I wouldn't recommend it. Those things are like dump trucks, if it moves it's food.. Both are great when kept properly but it's...

    Character references....hmmmm

Mostly everyone I have dealt with so far has been pretty nice buyers and sellers alike. Me personally if someone is rude I won't buy from them so I try not to be rude either. Now a bad seller or a rude seller no I wont do anymore business with them and am sure to tell friends about it as well as...

Ok so do I think tarantulas can be tammed. No. It's a wild animal no matter how you put it. I don't even...

    Mites? Help!

There are a ton of threads on this subject and just as many species of mites. The general advice is white mites aren't that big an issue, well these anyway. Red mites are. But don't panic over color too much. Your looking for them to be attached and red as a general rule of thumb. The white...

    Cheap Hide Idea

Doesn't look bad. Only advice I can give is to seal it somehow. Only reason I mention that is on a dry environment they work great but in really humid ones if it can't dry out regularly they will mildew, but of course most things will if it's not ventilated well enough and allowed some drying...

    is this normal?

Just let it be. It'll come out when it needs something. Sometimes they come out and you never know it. It isn't going to commit suicide it knows what it needs to survive and part of that is doing what T's do best naturally... hide so a predator won't find them.

Why did you get into spiders?

I posted mine when I first joined the forum a few years back. I've always loved spiders since I was little. Picking them up playing with them and turning them back lose outside. My first T was a G Rosea, cleverly named Rosie, my mom got us when I was somewhere between 6 and 8. She was...

Did she really have to do this to her own window?

I swear it's an Avic thing. None of my arboreals are bad about leaving poo all over the sides except the Avics. I guess they think poo makes better curtains then webbing.

Python bites kid, what do you think of this?

100% agree with Pitbulllady and everyone else. Don't allow your kid to participate if you don't want them to get bit. If you or you allow someone like your child to touch an animal expect that for whatever reason the animal could bite. Every animal has the potential to bite.
