Finally! She must be a summer girl I guess haha. No more dull and drab, nice and bright now. So happy she can start to eat again! Pics whenever she decides to come out for a stroll.:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:
Wondering if this will be one of her last since she is in the 8"+ range now!
So here she is today, bad lighting so I hope you can see it alright and this is only an under shot. The Blue LED lighting I had brought out the yellow a little more than it actually is right now. But in the first 2 pics you can see it a little better, she kinda of has that light brown/drab tint...
Please excuse any mistakes in this post writing from my phone.
I saw this tonight also and thought it was ridiculous. They did drop 3 or 4 avics from the ceiling. After this they tried to use the whole "camel spider" scare tactic and had the "expert" tell the people camel spiders babies are...
Arghhh she was just out but I couldn't get my camera in position to get her so I had to move her cage and she bolted. To answer your question about being lethargic, no not at all. I used to feed her a roach every 2 weeks, and sometimes a cricket in between roach feedings.
She has not eaten in...
Ill try to get some pictures of her, she can be pretty recluse though. Her abdomen isn't shriveled and she looks normal just dull as heck. I got her from TalkenLate08 ( i think that was his name ) so I am pretty positive it is a female.
My adult female P.Ornata who is about 8 inches right now has been in premolt for right around 8 months now. She hasn't eaten in that time and has been dull in color the whole time. I have had her since 11/26/08
She has molted in my possession 3 times so far:
1/15/09
4/4/09
8/30/09
I...
Hello everyone, I live in a 1 bedroom apt almost 800 sqft. I keep my two T's in my bedroom closet ( adult female P.Ornata and MM G.Rosea).
I believe I may have bed bugs and wish to fumigate my room to see. I am worried about my T's though, would taking them out of the room and placing them...
Wow a real life bill collector, mind me asking why in the world someone would choose a career path like that? Hearing people's sob stories and excuses all day/night and having to be a complete jerk to them? Is there major incentives or is the pay super good or something?
I've had 2 things go...
My little MM Rosea has been matured for only about 2 weeks now and last night when I went to look at him I opened the closet door, and he had a hammock web about 1/4" above the ground at the corner of the tank and he was under it, upside down working on the bottom of he web. Is this a sperm web...
So I have had this rosea since it was about 1/4-1/2 " that I got Oct. '08. It has molted a few times since then of course, and last week it molted again. I looked today and it looks like it has gotten his hooks, which are very small, he is maybe 3" toe-to-toe and no bulk to him. Is this a normal...
So I have noticed over the last few molts of some of my T's that right after the molt ( as in just popped out still stretching and for a little while after ) they seem to be so much larger then they actually end up being when they are all hardened.
My little 3" Rosea just molted today and...
Dang, I drive by this about twice a year when I pick my little bro up to visit. I always thought it was some cheez ball zoo with nothing worthwhile to check out. Next time I drive up hwy2 I'll have to check it out, thanks for the tip
So for space reason's I need to downsize a few enclosures I have 2 of my T's in, one is a G. Rosea so that should be no problem. The other enclosure that I need to downsize though is my adult female OBT which I see myself having trouble with.
She is in a 10 gallon tank (mistake from the...
So we've all seen plenty of documentaries that show South American T's and whatnot, but does anyone know of any documentaries with Old Worlders' like pokies and the such?
Well, usually there is a piece of bread / dog food in a dish for them. The only moisture they have is the water dish so other than that it is pretty dry. Kind of hard to explain since they're so little and movin' around so fast =) I think I am going to change the cartons and clean the tank and...
So today I was putting some food into my baby/medium size roach tank and noticed a bunch of tiny white/clear bugs crawling around on the egg cartons. Should I just get rid of these roaches now, or should I even worry about it?
So I keep all of my smaller roaches in one tank, and my roaches that have molted into maturity in another tank. Sine I only have about 6 winged roaches the tank doesn't get dirty much, especially since I have substrate in that one.
My small roach tank on the other hand has about 50-75 smaller...
