First of all, thanks for all the replies. :)
Made for feeder insects, but it also says "Ideal for Tarantulas and Scorpions".
The two scorpions I tried it with had no problem eating it.
Not when you are gone for 2-3 weeks at a time, as often as I am.
Actually, I didn't even think...
Not sure what species this is, but I'm trying to find out. The colors aren't 100%, the centipede is dark blue not black.
A couple of years ago I found a small centipede that looked simillar to this one, but had light blue coloring. I'm guessing it's the same species, even tough they were...
Thanks everybody! I had fun taking these pics. :p
I took some scorps for myself, but we left most of what was found.
I live in Israel. We've got here 21 species.
ParabuthusKing - I live in Israel, so it might be a bit of a problem... ;)
Thisgal - ditto, but lemme know if you're...
Thanks!
What was even more amazing, and I forgot to mention this in my first post, is that under the same rock with the Buthotus judaicus eating the Scolopendra cingulata was another Scolopendra cingulata just a few centimeters away from him!
Went for a short field trip the other day. Found some nice scorpions and quite a few Chaetopelma aegyptiaca (tarantula).
Buthotus judaicus
On to the Nebo hierichonticus pics.
These two females were one next to another. Started running in seperate directions when I lifted the...
Went for a short field trip the other day. Found some nice scorpions and quite a few Chaetopelma aegyptiaca, including a male and female together under a rock. :} We didn't disturb them too much. ;)
Here's the couple. Bad pic, but like I said we didn't want to disturb them...
A couple of quick pics of my steatoda paykulliana and her new spiderlings. :)
The pics aren't great, I'll try getting better ones tomorrow.
The female and egg sack are wild caught, have been at me for about 6-8 weeks.

I've kept Scorpio maurus fuscus and one S.m. fuscus x S.m. palmatus, and I find them to be great scorpions. Can be handled as well. Their pinch hearts, but their sting isn't dangerous.
I agree. Deathstalkers really aren't as bad as most think.
It's scorpions like my demonic female that give them all the bad name. ;P
She'll chase the tongs all over the enclosure trying to envenomate it (and trust me, it's not out of hunger...)
Looking back and re-reading my post it might seem like I was discarding your post, that was not my intention - just adding my 2 cents. :)
I agree that after sometime most will no longer bolt into thier retreats, though I haven't seen any that don't react once touched.
Palau, what did you decide to get?
I never recommend Deathstalkers for begginers, but I must be honest and say that my first scorpion was a deathstalker, and we're both still alive.
As long as you take the proper safety precautions you can't get hurt. However, knowing or remembering to...
Someone told me that the easiest way to get food for my scorpions is to mix sawdust, rodent food mixture and water together and within no time I'll have plenty of maggots.
Are maggots a good food source for scorps? The guy said that maggots are excellent, but not those of flies that will come...
First pics of my Nebo hierichonticus! :D I've had it for a while, but never posted the pics before. (Pics were taken in a temporary container...).
Nebo hierichonticus is the largest scorpion in Israel and the whole Middle East! They get up to 13cm, mine is about 8 cm now.
Are you talking about this? http://www.fmfmtp.net/~sfl/images/May_beetle.jpg
I was thinking about feeding them, as I saw a few flying around last night...
