Yeah I got her as MF, and the guy I got her from had got babies out of her, so I think that's a pretty good sign :)
At least I learned from this. I know what I did wrong (which was caused by misinformation regarding GBB's), but it's unfortunate I had to learn on a MF :(
I have a Borneo short tail python, which are very similar (and sometimes considered) a 'blood python'
She is a jerk. She wants to eat me. I love her because I think they are a wicked snake (I'm more a reptile guy than arachnids actually...18 snakes, about the same number of lizards), but I...
done and done.
i have other T's her size, and they've all molted within a couple hours. i had checked her yesterday morning, and she was in her hide upside down, in the afternoon she was same spot most of the way out, and then today, now, exact same situation.
figured out why my GBB has been blah lately...she's molting!
but horribly!!! i've never had to deal with this before, help a guy out!
she was in her molt position for about 24hrs before i decided to pull her out of her home and into a little tupperware container.
her pedipalps and R1...
yeah he got rehomed after that. i was actually going to do it then, but he started molting.
i used my canon rebel xsi, and wrote custom software for it. i just set everything to manual so that it wouldn't randomly change lighting on me, and use my software to take a picture every X time...
i think i mentioned that the spider is about 2 inches, if not more, and the crickets are pinhead, so i doubt he could even get one to eat.
anyway, i cleaned them out and he should be good to go now.
I did this a while ago. I got this ornata and two days later it molter, and I happened to be playing with my camera and some software I wrote to do timelapse photography, so I got the guy molting. Enjoy.
Yeah I'm not planning on getting a little sling.
And by lots of sub you mean deep substrate so that it may dig a hole and never come out? :D
I'm not planning on touching it, so hopefully getting bit will not be a problem. I'm pretty careful with 'em anyway (famous last words).
yeah she's all full and big looking.
are GBB more of a dish drinker? i don't have dishes for most of my T's, i just mist and monitor the humidity. i've been considering moving to dishes though...
I got a MF GBB, oh...3 months ago, something like that, and she is a royal.....well it rhymes with witch...
She pretty much kicked hairs at me the entire ride home, and for the next few days if I even looked at her. Anyway...
Rehomed her from the deli cup into a 10 gallon with coco fiber...
so I fed my bugs tonight after coming back from holidays, and in with my P. regalis there are a ton of little baby crickets. Before anybody asks, yes I'm sure they are crickets :)
Is this a bad thing? Do I have to clean out the enclosure and get rid of them, or can I just let them die...
i put a small P. regalis in a critter keeper when it was too small to be in there, and the first night it escaped out of that critter keeper and into another critter keeper with an emperor scorpion, and hung out on the lid....
i looked for an hour, finally gave up, had one big sigh and looked...
