Red Rope Light
I use red "rope lights" They provide all the red light I need, and they only heat up the enclosures to 75-80 degrees.

The pictures don't do a justice.... the red light, lights up the enclosures...
Something that I tried with my OBT that worked well was:
I took off the lid and then covered the enclosure with celophane plastic. Then I cut a 2-3" diameter hole in one of the corners of the celophane, in the corner of the enclosure. I put the 2 liter pop bottle top over that 2-3" hole...
The man does what with his..... and the woman does?
Yes please tell me about the birds and the bees! lol
All kidding aside, I am confused about the sex of my Brachypelma boehmei. It just molted from 4" and is now around 4.75" - 5.00".
The confusing part that you will see from the...
Ya, It is at 5.25" right now.... The flap does look very small to me also
I don't see any bulbs or tibial hooks though... :? Wouldn't it have those by now if it was male? It just molted last night... the molt before that was 10 months ago.
Are you sure about that? Look at the size of the abdomen compared to the carapace. Looks small to me. My Cobalt hasn't eaten in about 2 months, and her abdomen isn't small like that.

I noticed that the previous link did not work
I had a simular experience with my regalis >> SEE THREAD HERE <<
And I found out, as Botar has stated, that they do indeed stay towards the ground while small.
Same thing with my rufilata now.
Cheers,
