I have no idea what type of jumping spider it is, there seem to be so many down here. My favorite so far is one of the larger species with metallic green chelicerae! It looks awesome but I never have my camera when I see them. If anybody knows a good source for jumping spider identification...
I'm always lurking but not often sharing so thought I'd show off a couple of my house spiders. I love the jumping spiders around here, some very cool ones I haven't caught on film yet but I'm trying.
This girl was huge, thankfully near a smoke detector so you can see. They're so much fun at...
I would start small, like you've been doing raising slings and such.. Maybe try your luck at finding some MM for any females you have and attempt breeding. If you find you like it, you can always add more.. If you don't, you at least aren't overrun with a ton of stuff you just stocked up on.
Found this horned devil today crawling around under a pecan tree, I guess looking for a nice spot to pupate.. After I took some pics it finally ended going into a nearby rotting wood pile. It's been years since I've seen one and thought I'd share.
B. craniifer X B. fusca.. I only bought 40 of these hybrids a year ago and I'm crawling in them now. Super easy to maintain(can't fly, can't climb) and they get huge which is ideal if you have large Ts or other big bug eaters(I feed em to my frogs and tegu as well).
well it won't let me upload this one for some reason so here is L. parahybana #1..
This is not the same spider as the one up above, please specify which one you're sexing if either pictures aren't too bad to go by.. Thanks
I have 2 slings(~2 and 3 inches) both keep their holes sealed up 90% of the time.. When I do feeding I just poke a small hole on the side of the enclosure where I'm sure the sling isn't and drop the roach(crushed head) down there. Almost every time they eat the roach and reclose the hole:?
