Glad it wasn't all that bad, you lucked out! I got tagged the other day by my 9 footer and it really suprised me. It felt like somebody held some nails at the base of my palm (toward my thumb) and slammed a car door on it. It swelled a bit and turned all sorts of pretty colors. Now I have a nice...
No need to comment my signature in this person's thread. I would love to debate over pm though :)
@ Deroplatys, out of curiosity what camera/lens did you take these with?
I second that, lol
Great video Paul! Good pics at the end, too. I hope you enjoy them and do get the oppurtunity to breed them. So you know, I'm keeping my eyes peeled for MM's, hopefully I'll luck out like last year (one wandered into my bathroom).
Take care,
Cody
To be honest I absolutely love the normals (especially the Sulawesi's). It's the broken pattern and solid striped morphs I don't care for.
Definitely, it does help. I have to remind myself that urticating hairs are "butt fluffies" when messing with my NW tarantulas, otherwise I get really...
I remember when mine was that little...a few months ago lol. What kind of Retic do you have?
Thanks :) I have to give my giant snakes silly names to help neutralize the fear and intimidation they create in my family. Forgot to say that the Anaconda is named "Anacondalisa Rice"...but I usually...
No, but I have a female Green Anaconda. (and now that it came up here's a pic of her face :} )
Between these two snakes I don't have any more room atm. Later on down the road I would love a couple more Retics though. Probably as soon as the really nice breeds that have been coming out...
I took this picture the other day of "Julius Squeezer", my Purple Albino Reticulated Python, and just thought I'd share :)
These snakes are absolutely amazing, and smart. It's the only snake I've had that closely watches my every move. Kind of freaks me out sometimes, and I love it {D
The genus is a mess, unless [finally] any recent work has been done I am unaware of, there are 5 valid species names under 2 genera, the different colored specimens might be different species but it will likely take somebody to turn up mature males of each "color" to really see if they are...
The african Cyphonisia sp. and Ctenizidae (Cyclocosmia, Bothriocyrtum, etc) are very different spiders and I am convinced they each have very different needs as slings. Cyphonisia are extremely prolific and hardy, and rearing babies of that species is IMO really no different than rearing a tiny...
Thanks, it was fun but I am trying to modify it to where the plants are easier to control and the T is more visible. Currently waiting for the new plants to grow and spread a bit before I post pics somewhere of the current tank.
I think for those that want to set up a tropical planted tank...
Tank I had a couple years ago for a massive T. sp "Burgandy". There were so many springtails and isopods in there I never had to clean the tank, just mist here and there. She still lives in this tank but it's been redone since (experimenting with different live plants, and cut the substrate...
Hey Ricky! I told you ;)
Anyway I did some digging and found these threads:

Looks like you might be stuck with a ton of slings lol
Figured I should upload this before deleting it off my phone. It's only a couple seconds but it always made me smile :)

It does appear to be a Liphistius sp. and is certainly in Mesothelid territory.
Although there is probably an array of possibilities for the ID and the video is certainly not going to get any clearer, there are two Liphistius spp described from that general area/province - L. suwat...
Cool to see another MM Cyphonisia out there. I have found they are very easy to pair (so far). We'll see how the eggsac/incubation(s) go.
I encourage you to check out my thread on ATS in regards to breeding these (project in process!):
