With male marshalli's not really getting a horn, at what size can you sex them male and female based on this difference? 2"? What size do males mature at?
I did find a bite report for ceratogyrus which the person said was no big deal and one for the lugardi which was nasty and bothered the person for a long time.
I'm leaning to ceratogyrus as the least offensive but was looking for any additional insight.
Thanks
How would you rank the following "beginner" old worlds (youtube video from Tom Moran) in terms of how nasty their bite is? From nastiest to least?
Pterinochilus lugardi
Ceratogyrus darlingi or marhali
Monocentropus balfouri
Harpactrica pulchripes
I appreciate your thoughts.
Based on the pictures posted here and the fact that these two organs are very small and attached directly to the skin and do not tapper I have concluded he is still a he.
Thanks for all the advice.
That's exactly why I'm skeptical. I can clearly see them on a 4" G. pulchripes but not on this one. I do know some Ts have smaller parts and I do need a microscope to see them on 4" pokies but terrestrial ones are always bigger.
Here are some pictures. Not very good but I haven't figured out...
Does anyone have a nice shot of a female and male? I have a 4.5" that molted last night and I was sure it was a boy but now that I got a microscope I'm seeing 2 bunny ears but they aren't raised and kind of small. I'd like some pictures for comparison if anyone has one.
Cheers
Thank you for the replies. I will take some pictures through the microscope next weekend as I am gone for the week away from my Ts. Perhaps someone can tell me what type of mites I have then.
I appreciate the feedback.
So I found a few tiny yellow mites in a bottle cap of my juvie C. marshalli this morning and several spring tails in my E. murinus bottle cap. Springtails are harmless I'm told but mites are generally cause for concern. My question is are all mites dangerous for Ts or only some? Will introducing...
If you're going to put it down might as well try treating it with a salt bath. Works for the aussies. The sling might be to small to actually flush any solution down its mouth.

I tried to sex some really tiny molts I had in a tupperware and I'm having trouble distinguishing between female and male reproductive organs:confused: I had a 3" B. albopilosum molt and I can clearly see two "egg" shaped organs for him but with these tiny guys I'm not sure if I'm looking at boy...
A theory I have heard which makes sense to me anyways is that they do this to dissuade predators (which would drink and look for water) to hang out to close to their burrow/place of residence. I also have a few Ts, but my LP in particular, that put urticating bristles in their water dish. And...
