I get to bring my A. Crassicaudas back from Iraq!

Well a few problems now. Ran into another MP doing customs and consulted him as per my PLT SGT's bidding. He says I can't take them and the other guy must of misread or not gave a shit. He showed be the book and they can be taken in Acrylic sealed only. Like those paperweight things...

    Illinois residents BEWARE!

I was just there in April. it's actually law shared by Champain/Urbana districts or whatever. Went to 3 gas stations at 2 AM and could not buy beer on the first night. Second night was a race from Chicago to make it to a gas station 6 min before midnight so I could get a case. Your right...

I get to bring my A. Crassicaudas back from Iraq!

I personally went to the MP on this and he said insects are fine aslong as they are in a sealed unbreakable container. He said put duct tape around it so its obvious it isn't coming open. No rock or soil can be present. This was while we where packing up containers for shipping home. Now who...

    Illinois residents BEWARE!

i was in the champaign/urbana area once, real liberal place. you can't buy alcohol after midnight and have to smoke outside everywhere. the kids there said their college indian mascot got banned cause it was racist. lol, isn't that where obama represents. i'm guessing firearms are a nono.

I get to bring my A. Crassicaudas back from Iraq!

Hey all, good news I get to bring back 4 of my Androctonus Crassicaudas back from Iraq. Unfortunately I had to dispose of the 8 of them:( I know for a fact one of them I kept is a female and the other 3 I kept based on activity level and aggressiveness. She has mated, but i'm sure she's too...

    Why no parabuthus villosus?

I'm surprised though the ones that have made it into trade haven't been bred. Sounds like real good business for inverts. I'd put a little bit o cash into getting one.

    isopods?

I placed an Iraqi dung beatle in with about 8 androctonus crassicauda's to clean the lizard poo up. He's been in longer than any of the scorps and they have killed everything introduced but him. He's hard as rock though.

    Orthochirus PIC request

Here's one of him eating leftover lizard from an androctonus crassicauda kill Interesting though I had the little guy in with the mighty andros for about 2 weeks until I introduced another species (some unidentified yellow scorp with skinny tail) and he ate it. It's all good though as the...

    Why no parabuthus villosus?

Ever since I got my Andros, this is the scorp I wanted to own the most when I got back to the states, but finding one is proving difficult. Why is this species not a popular one among collectors. As far as I can tell it's one of the only scorps always active in daylight and is the largest...

    Qs about "hots"

I'm sure you'll be fine in TN. TN is one of those states you can walk into a pawn shop and buy a gun aswell as buy booze 24/7 or both at the same time lol.

    Best communal scorpion

I have 6 Androctonus Crassicaudas and all are fine together. I have also heard the Andro Austraelis is also highly communal, but both are probably capable of cannibalism if hungry.

    Non-Crassicauda in Iraq, needs Identified

yea not really a hobbyist environment. I have like 2 or 3 gallon plastic container. Not a problem for the Andros because they hang out all over each other like a brood. The platoon leadership does have a prob with me letting any of them go because they are kill on site to everyone else.

You talking maintaining the L shape when you cross and keeping your feet out so your at like an L shape with the rope in between. I can see that working. Back to the scorps. I hope the Andros stomp whatever he is because I just woke up to him chomping on one of my Orthicurious.

    Non-Crassicauda in Iraq, needs Identified

Fast roping at the school is off of a tower at 35 ft. The helicopter repel is with an actual rope and a D ring you learn to put on yourself in 10 seconds. hurts the jewels lol. for now fast roping from copters is limited to the special operations community, but in a traditional future war the...

    Non-Crassicauda in Iraq, needs Identified

oh and all units over here operate the same now. You drive trucks around looking for bombs, drinking chai, and paying sheiks. it's not a traditional combat scenario. The only airborne ops that have been done in years is probably special operations guys.

Some things noticed. It has a very large (crescent moon) stance when it aggros. Actually higher than the larger andros. His but goes very high and he has a long tail. will try to get pics but can't get him to do it again. My female large andro tail flicks him but the others don't even...
