Communication was top notch, packing could have been shook and not displaced a single thing. Inverts are in great condition, shipping right on time with tracking number. Troi was nice enough to put up with my constant messages and just a stand up dealer. Buy here.
they look as though they are growing quite well, congrats on that, I think they are one of the most rewarding species, as they are great eaters and and have a lot of personality as far as tarantulas go
everyne on here has mst likley said the same thing. But i have said it for the first year I was "getting into" tarantulas, then Once i realized I had a problem I had them all over, roach tubs in the bathroom closet, computer dest filled with enclosures, enclosures on top of the entertainment...
I have had one since it was a practical spec. i have had it for around two years or more and it is only a bit over an inch. I would just suggest the waiting game. when I have noticed a molt it was so fragile and thin im sure you would want a microscope and loupe.
thats a good choice, but everyone is right, g.rosea are a must in the collection. Its good that your keeping yourself to a number. I once told my wife "i only want one" then "Okay ten at the most" now I have lost count. Its just part of it all.
I would leave the a good review for that one. mix ups happen, what does not always happen is people doing whats right and fixing the problem. congrats on the freebie
looks okay, "eggs"are totally poo, but, Always trust your gut. keep an eye on him and keep us updated. Also take into consideration that tarantulas are odd, and everyone of them have a different way of acting. Just watch and learn.

I work in produce, and from time to time we run across L.mactans and Geo's. Its kinda funny, the only spiders I run into in the 7+ years I have worked there are some P.audix and other various jumpers and Latrodectus. GREAT PICS.
Impressive, Please update us with pictures, Im quite curious to see them, Also you say its unidentified? I mostly hear of post ultimate molt from g.rosea and A.Avic's not much from other species.
Everyone has their own way of doing it, and all of this is great info, Also slings behavior will vary as well, I try to feed them whole live food. if they dont take to it I wait a bit and try a part of a prey item (partial cricket or meal worm ect) if this does not work (usually does) I will...
beautiful little drummer girl, I love the rythem they get. It has very little chance up in tempo and seems to be on a loop. Morse code? just kidding.
nice little vid. let us know when she gets off the pot and drops a sack :) OH and keep me in mind if you decide to sell some of their offspring.
go ahead and try to get them going, But the female should be adult size, at least 4 inches (IMO) and the male HAS to be mature :) age is one of those things that can differ so much with Tarantulas,,and getting into Brachys that can vary quite a lot. Once you have bred them its a waiting game as...
The corn starch acts as a coagulant to stop the "Bleeding", And no one can predict what a tarantula will do. Interesting information to think about, I have never heard of this happening.Well I hope he is okay. Im sure once he hardens up all will be fine.
congrats!!! just great, I love when you get a great molt. Its just the best feeling in the world....well maybe not squite but its pretty dang great.

dont over think it,if its nice and moist, warm not hot, and left alone. The Tarantula will do what it needs to do. there is no magic way to get them to molt on cue (at least not to my knowledge). Just enjoy the wait, its like christmas.
