One for the UK T keepers.
Ive given our GBB earthworms which it liked very much, they are from my own garden where no chemicals have been used so I regard them as safe.
Ive given the GBB and the salmon pink birdeater minced pork, which again they seemed to enjoy - i.e. they ate it very...
I have a sub-adult chilean rose and she looks like she mite molt but she only molted about 5 months ago how long is it in between molts usually?
Our chillean rose is an eating machine, eating 2 hoppers and a couple of crickets a week.
This is just a theory but when spiders fast couldnt this be in response to its environmental conditions simulating wild weather patterns, conditions that we are unaware of.
Therefore if you alter...
Our baby greenbottle blue has an amazing turn of speed, its just moulted for the 3rd time in our care, going from;
{---} this big and is now
{----------------} this big across the legs.
Like I said, it just moulted again a couple of days ago and has been hiding in a web tube ever...
Mine must be about 3-3.5 inches, the petshop said she might molt in about eight months time but shes got a boldish patch appearing again however she only molted in January.
could it be that it just wanted to bite - fangs must sometimes ache to bite something meaty, like a cat on your lap extending its claws into your leg before sitting down.
Maybe it feels nice to the spider to occasionally exert some real pressure with its fangs.
I have to admit, I was supprised at how little was left of the locust when she (wether he or she its called she) had finished, almost nothing at all.
Its only the second time she has eaten since we got her.
My G. rosea isnt eating, i was wondering whether its cos she knows her fangs arent ready or shes just not hungry, although she hasnt eaten for a week or two. Wat do u guys think?
Does anyone have a pic of an adult G.rosea? I dont have any idea of wat colour mine will be. I think its sub-adult at the mo, it molted in the night so i didnt get to see it.
thanks, why the different names for same spiders? Possible a uk/us thing?
Well, thanks for the info, ill go read the threads on this critter now :)
and the most important thing is the "do not Handle" label I will attach to its home.
