    Just how venomous are Sicarius?

I, too, keep terrosus and it is of very calm temperament. So, you're right about that. I wouldn't handle it though :wicked: .

    How inteligent could scorps be?

I think it was Rene Descartes who, when writing about pseudo-intelligence in nature (when the word itself should really be reserved for more cerebral animals), used the bee as a paradigm. Scorpions are enchanting because they are equipped with such sophisticated and acute mechano-sensory and...

    How inteligent could scorps be?

    Just how venomous are Sicarius?

That's rather slippery of you, buthus. Perhaps I was too colloquial with one of my written sentences. Let me rephrase myself; "I have happened upon written rumors concerning this spider, consisting of envenomations that have taken place in a third-world country". I cannot ascertain the...

    Just how venomous are Sicarius?

I have heard accounts of victims of the Sicarius hahni requiring immediate amputation to save the life of the victim, but the toxicological research is scarce and hazy. What is known is that Siciarius sp. venom contains higher quantities of the amino acid sphingomyelinase D (juxtaposed with...
