When one thinks of a 125gal, they think thats a HUGE tank. seeing half of it, with a T blondie in there, it no longer seems that big. in other words, quite impressive.

Scott, one may assume you'd be able to tell by the technique of it, eating it's prey, might be the easiest route of everything.

If a T in fact does not have their fangs, won't they still have the venom, without anything to inject it, therefore when your feeding it off, it will cause bad effects? coming here, talking about the pet shop owner, defanging it is alright, but to talk about feeding them off, just does not...

To the OP (original poster); thanks for making this thread, it does make me feel less "childish" for being as deeply saddend a few years back, when I had lost my G rosea, although it was also my first tarantula that I have ever had.

I kind of realized that it's not a lot alike, same idea as keeping the tank upside down, but other than that not so much as to prevent some of the escapes, especially where some species would run up the glass, when frightend, also another thought that I have as I keep snakes, and other reptiles...

I heard some where, that the venom from a G. rosea actually helps out when it comes to heart attacks, and was wondering if anyone would be able to go into explaining this, to me as well as any other important uses for venom.
