This is my Babycurus gigas brood just before they started coming off the mom. Beautiful species with large offspring. Still waiting for them all to dismount so I can find out how many there are.
Just wondering what deli containers everyone prefers. I have not been too happy with some that I have purchased lately. I prefer the heavy duty containers, but they all seem to be translucent, not transparent. Has anyone found a container that is heavy duty and very clear?
If you have a...
Where is the best place you have found to purchase acrylic bits? I have been looking online, but have not made a purchase yet. It seems harder to find the smaller sizes.
Received 8 scorpions, one of which was a freebie. All arrived healthy and active. Shipped based off my availability. Will be purchasing from again. Thanks for the great buyer experience!
When I kept this species, I had a communal setup for my adults. It was 2.4.0, if I remember correctly. Granted, I separated the females once they gave birth and raised the young in individual vials, so I cannot speak to keeping the young together, but I had great success with my communal adult...
TheInverts.com and TheInverts Store will be closing very soon for the foreseeable future. Thank you to all our loyal visitors and contributors. If you would like to purchase any screen vents before the store is closed, you will only have a few days to do so.

I might have an opportunity to visit Puerto Rico soon, and I was wondering where I would be most likely to encounter scorpions in their natural habitat. Does anyone know which areas of Puerto Rico have the largest scorpion populations? Hopefully I will be able to get some good photos if I get...
Thank you, Michiel. Now that I have confirmation that a population of I. maculatus did or does exist in Florida, can anyone provide any evidence that the population still exists?
Thank you, Captmarga and everyone else who has contributed.
We now only lack photos of the following from the original list:
Poecilotheria ornata
Poecilotheria pederseni
Neal, thank you for your input. I was not trying to imply they were native to Florida; I am just trying to find out if anyone has any evidence of them actually existing there (from being introduced). Sorry for any confusion. I was in a hurry when I typed the original post.
Thank you to those who have contributed. We received a photo of a Hadogenes troglodytes, so now we just need photos of any scorpion not listed here:

I have been reading articles about Isometrus maculatus, and some of them mention southern Florida, but I cannot find much information about their existence in Florida. Does anyone know if there is actually a population of this species in Florida or if it was just seen once because it was...
