Yeah, I mist as well. Not directly on the GBB or anything like that, hate to stress the poor bugger. But I do spray one side so the substrate absorbs moisture slowly without the GBB noticing.

I do have 2 avic avics, but they are about 3". I guess I could rig a humidifier on a timer. Like 4 hours a day or something. Any other common methods to keep a container moist in florida, while your gone?

I have some tiny slings, like 3rd instars, 1.5", 1/4 - 1/3 ". etc... I usually feed pinheads, about 2 every other day. Will they be ok one week without food? I know adults will be fine, no questioning that. Just want to make sure the little guys do ok.

I got slings like 1 to 1.5 weeks before this outbreak of his. All seem to be healthy and doing fine. Maybe a fertile but genetically incompatible match resulting in high percentages of defects? Could be, I dont know.
