And is it normal for my rose to be in its hide for more than an hour? When I first got her this morning she was outside of log all day but sitting one spot not...
Hey all, some of you have helped me a great deal by answering many questions to my other thread.

I brought home my first Tarantula, which is a G. rose as some may know, suprised? No I doubt it. I know its a beginner one...
you could always go the cheap way and buy those Rubnermaid stackables from wal-mart or rubbermaid.com. Lower and home depot have desirable shelving as well, I would know, I work at Lpwe's
its proably about 2 inches. Not full adult I haven't gotten breeder will have it ready I'm the morning but ive already beem to see it. Okay I will mostly move to a nicer display eventually. Just can't have it out to display due to queasy family members. When they get used to it I'll move it to...
Housing
IVe got the housing setup which doesnt require much. I used a rubbermaid shoebox with holes drilled in top.
its 6 1/2 inches on each en

eah I as looking at care sheets, mainly because I didn't know every aspect of raising a tarantula. I did notice every caresheet is different and all recommend decorations, which the T's dont need, pet stores just trying to make a profit from add-on sales.
I can't believe I was stressing over...
Thanks for all the helpful info! I keep seeing everywhere, "Keep temp around 70 to 80 and humidity 75 to 85%". But ive been told no misting and no to use heat pads what's the deal?
I have een reseArching for several weeks about different types. And I'm getting crickets from petsmart not the actual tarantula. I've noticed most pet stores crowding too many and have a heat lamp to help display, which is not needed. Avoid pet stores I agree
I understand that you guys said the shoebox method for housing would be fin but how come every video on youtube, these kids have these giant massive tanks? Of I recall, tarantulas do not need, nor want large enclosures. What's up???

1. Buy as few crickets as possible
2. Don't use wood shavings for bedding
3. No misting neccessary for Chilean rose
There is no petxo where I live, but we do have a petsmart. Possibly might have something? Who knows
hello I'm picking up first tarantula tomorrow! It will be a Chilean rose.
1. Can the tarantula be housed in a clear rubbermaid shoebox type box with holes punched in for ventilation? Real question is, is this suitable enough, big enough, etc.
2. Can i use 'Aspen Snake Bedding' for...
