Reddish Pill Bugs
As a kid I kept Roly Polys and sowbugs as short term pets on the west coast. Well, I recently got a nano terrarium and I knew it was too small for many reptiles/inverts. So I planted it with local mosses and plants and placed it on my desk at work. A few days later I was...
Yeah man, whats the deal on the Tucson show? Wanna go?
We could just road cruise down to the Border instead
By the way. I have had a couple offers on the heros. It is an eating machine...6 mealworms a day so far..
Tried living in TX before. It pretty much sucked. Even the a-holes are bigger in TX. No offense.
P.S. I am just remembering that most of the aforementioned bigger ones were mostly New York/Jersey people who moved to TX...So maybe I just was unlucky in that I never met any actual Texans.
Went Saturday afternoon roadcruising in the Santa Rita mountains hoping to see a critter or two. Followed a dirt road through a canyon and caught a large Scolopendra heros arizonensis (sp?) I belive it is somewhere in the 7-8" range, but haven't had a chance to corral it long enough to measure...

Found this interesting duo crossing the street as I road cruised Queen Valley for herps, at first I thought it was just a tarantula...imagine my surprise! It was near dusk. Four pics I took below...
Wow! They sure put on a show to make up for their size! I am extremely interested in this species, I have some sort of weird thing for extremes of size - If its alot bigger, or alot smaller than average I find it even more interesting...for example: Key Deer.
So this is me during the short time I lived in the keys. And one of me from when I was actually allowed into the renaissance faire! (Now i run the parking lot-woohoo!)
Introductions...
Hi, I am Christian Reynolds.
I have been coming to AZ to work the Renaissance Faire for the past 3 years, mainly so I can go hiking and flip reptiles and inverts! I am an avid fieldherper, and used to be quite the bug guy as a child - So much in fact that my family STILL...
