Unfortunately it is illegal to import spiders into SA. It's done illegally all the time, but not sure who the importers are or who they send to. I have been out of the hobby for a few years now.

Don't think you can, other than not to breed any hobby stock and import fresh spiders to start again. Till the next person messes it up...

There is an even bigger difference in colour with these two now, will try get updated pics sometime.
As far as I'm concerned, the whole subfusca group is a total mix-up in the hobby due to unintentional "cross-breeding"
I just leave them together. From past breeding experiences with these, the mating takes ages, so you would definately notice it. One of my past breedings, I actually stopped watching after an hour of inserts. The female shouldn't kill the male in normal circumstances.
Here is a pick of 2 pairs of pokies. Formosa and rufilata. Both pairs are kept next to each other, in identical enclosures and fed and watered at similar times. Both females are outgrowing the males. Just a quick example, but have similar situations with other species and specimens too.
I have plenty of Ceratogyrus and Poecilotheria where the females outgrow the males. Had a male C.marshalli male mature last week. His sibling sisters are all at least 2-4cm bigger than him already. These are kept together and fed and watered at the same time, same schedule, etc.
The males do not...
Like the communal issue, I was at first very keen on dorsal sexing, until this guy came along. I'm still not always convinced by ventral sexing, so prefer the good old moult sexing method for most spiders
But it proves the point that people are willing to identify tarantulas (Even 1000% guaranteed), just by looking at a single picture. Hybrids happen so easily...
Did you read the whole thread? The spider is a hybrid, so definately not 1000% darlingi. Actually 50% darlingi and 50% brachycephalus. Maybe your darlingi is not a real darlingi then?
