E.D. My Chaco Gold Knee's Enclosure
[/IMG]This is my first tarantula. In her tarantualcage.com enclosure. Terrestrial. It's nice. It has a really cool piece of wood I got at The Wet Spot, an awesome aquarium shop here in Portland. The blue stones are real turquoise.
Gloria's Tank
This is Gloria my G. Rosea's enclosure. It is in its Fall season right now. There is nothing living in the tank, besides her. And yes, that is Moss Man for you MotU fans.
This is my taratula picture/enclosure thread. Please enjoy and comment. Often, if necessary. I haven't been on this forum for a long time, but I've still got my T's. And now, I've got a nice 8.0 megapixel Canon Power Shot with Macro Lense. Whoo-hoo!
Dear hairmetalspider...
I'm sure if you met me in person we'd get along. But I think you may be giving me a bit of a hard time here....
After all....
I just checked yer profile and you've lost 8 T's. I'm just assuming that none of them have been fed to other T's, but any mishaps of yer own...
Honestly...
I think my G Rosea, appreciated the kill. After all they are predators. I'm just glad she didn't get hurt, and I do feel really bad about the OBT.
Good one about the DJThinK comment.
All the pics I have are pretty blurry. But I do have one with them together. I'll upload it...
Let me explain myself...
So, yes I agree, "dumbest move ever." But, let me explain. My G. Rosea's terrarium set up is a 10 gallon and she has a very good hide and burrow, with a second level to it, kinda. I thought if I could just get the OBT in there, which I did. And then get it to build a...
There's nothing wrong with starting out with a G. Rosea. They are excellent. Not my first, but my second, as well as my first adult. They do so great with handling, if you plan to handle, which I recommend for a G. Rosea. I know, its only for our benefit, but that's half the reason for the...
Is it just me or are baby tarantulas insanely cute? I mean like cute cute.... like cuter than the Puppy Bowl cute even. In fact there should be a 2nd instar bowl on T-Day. Oh man! Someone do a live web cam cast of a bunch of slings.
That's right. I don't know if its been said and done yet?
But, what I want to know from everyone out there in T World, is....
What do you think is the most exciting T to own and why?
I really think this is a good question and hopefully it hasn't already been done a million times...
I plan on making a nice arboreal set up for my pokie, P. Striata. I should start calling her "Digger." This was my first arboreal T and I have not had the time or money to get a real cage. I am going to wait for one more molt, she's probably a little under and 1.5 inches. Would be my guess...
My P. Striata, which is my only Old World tarantula, seems to be more of a burrower than an arboreal. I wish I could take a photo, but alas I have an archaic HP. When I got her from the Unique Animal Expo the plastic deli cup she was in was quite webbed up and the web had all kinds of dirt in...
Hmmm.... well, I'm glad that this post actually received some attention and response. I'm pretty new at this and assumed that the Tarantula was just "putting up" with the treatment. I am lucky to have such a docile G. Rosea. She's a gem. I hope I have not affected her in any ill manner from the...
