    Ive noticed that as my praying mantis ages as well as eastern hercules beetles age the ends of there legs tend to slowly die off until there basically just elbowing around.     It was in the third instar, the last survivor from the four eggs its mother laid. I had givin it a new chunk of wood to eat but when i check a few weeks later all I found was its head capsul and its blackened body. :cry:

    its deff not a cecropia, maybe a glovers silk moth. They look a lot alike but there are deff wing pattern differences
