Lol, I agree you need to be more concerned with the speed of these. I was feeding my 1" OBT today and as usual, he was hiding in a burrow he had dug. I put a small cricket in the deli cup I was keeping him in and out of the corner of my eye, I see something scurry under the edge of my table...
You'll find several threads on this topic and keepers who are on both sides. I for one have used split tanks on a couple of occassions without issue. Just make sure that there each side is secure and I don't think you will have a problem.

I agree that the glued on screen detracts from the beauty of the rest of the enclosure. Might I suggest you once you have glued the screen, you cut it in a circle just slighty larger than the hole? This would make them a bit more asthetically pleasing. Other than that, I'm very impressed with...
Man, I thought I was the only one that had nightmares about T's. In mine, I am always have problems with them getting out and I can't get them back. They seem to gain supernatural strength in my dreams and they are able to push the door open on any enclosure I put them in. It is always a...
I was just at my local pet store that usually caries a good supply of T's. They had gotten in a new supply with two nice sized T. Blondi's that they were about 5" and being kept in short deli type containers that were mabye 8" in diameter. And to top it off they each had a sponge in the...
I think an important factor to consider as well is speed. Are you equipped to handle a P. Cambridgei that bolts out of the enclosure and up your arm and onto your back before you have time to blink. (This happend to me last night while rehousing a 1 1/2" sling. With the help of my son, we got...
Back into the hobby full force! Here are pictures of my new slings that arrived this week.

B. Vagans
G. Pulchripes
H. Maculata
L. Parahybana
Sounds like you have the right attitude towards this and that is to error on the side of caution. I have only been betten once and that was by my (what I thought was very docile) G. Pulchripes that I had handled many times before. My hand swelled up about like it does with a bee sting with no...

I have a seen a couple of people fairly new to the hobby post that they have a desire to breed and sell. My 11 year old son also thinks it would be real cool to breed and sell them as well. So I was curious as to what the income potential for a serious breeder is. I know this can really vary...
Check out pictures here http://www.arachnoboards.com/ab/showthread.php?48951-Enclosure-Terrarium-Pictures. I think some of it is personal preferrence. I have seen people hat have constructed very elaborate display cases while others use the plactic tubs as suggested by hamhock 74. I...
