As she was unable to move, i've trasnferred her over the water cap once a day for 20/30 minutes, just to let her drink.
Then in order to maintain an high humidity level, i kept the substrate moist, but the tarantula over a solid and raised dry surface
The last hope was only a last hope. Once woken up, i've cheked her and no movements/responses. I then tried the same tactic as yesterday but nothing.
She has definitely gone.
Now that i looked at her closer, i've noticed that she is somewhat wet between the spinnerets
A maybe little good news.
I've just cheked her again and with my big surprise, i've noticed some small and weak legs twitches.
Maybe there is a last hope
Bad news. She has probably passed away.
I've last checked her 4 hours ago and was still responsive when poking the PVC panel, by raising up her legs.
Now i've just finished my shower and i checked her. I've poked on the PVC panel and no legs lifting.
I then took her enclosure out and still no...
She has probably passed through the worse phase yesterday.
Today she is still alive and 'fine'. She is completely freeze and with her legs raised up like a few days ago, but i maybe start to see some improvements. Every time i remove the PVC panel to check out the Tarantulas, i notice her...
I've done what i could and what my Tarantulas knowledge allow me.
Now i've moved her away from the radiator or she will probably cook, and i've set her in the closet over my head, where she could relax and stay away from light.
If tomorrow she is still alive, i'll give updates on her health...
Updated after further 4 hours
She was still heating up in the radiator. I've just came home and i've found her still alive, twitching like before but with all the legs raised up
A little good news.
Another hour and a half has passed and now she is with a raised leg and with the others twitching a bit.
I don't know if is it good or not, but at least she seems more alive than before
By the way, this morning i found the P.Metallica still alive but very weak, making only some leg twitches and moving her fangs.
I then moved her to the bathroom where there is a radiator to heat up the room. I place the enclosure on top, with water into the water cap.
After four hours she is in...
I've just did what you told ^^
I've moved the sick tarantula to a brand new and smaller enclosure with fresh substrate and new water cap.
I'll keep her like that and check everyday to see good updates.
In the meantime i'll clean and sterilize her old enclosure in order to move her back once she...
Yes, i've cat but they don't go outside at all, so, that is to exclude. The cat's are not getting treated with parasite treatments. I don't have reptiles. For the pesticides outside, honestly i don't know, but if it would be there would be all the tarantulas in that situation, and i only have...
Hi all.
I'm very concerned about my P.Metallica behaviour.
Still yesterday it was all normal. She was climbed on the corbark like always and doing her stuff.
But today when i decide to moisture the substrate a bit, i've found her on the ground acting very weirdly. She was like spasming and...
Bad news.
I asked you a month ago about the 'strange' burrowing behavior of my Lampropelma Violaceopes.
Well, today i found her dead still climbed on the glass. Yesterday at 5pm i noticed that she was climbed up the glass after she ate for the first time after a month and was pretty active...
Hi all.
I bought two tarantulas from a local fair, a Chilobrachys Fimbriatus sling and a gorgeous Lampropelma Violaceopes female.
The doubt it's exactly about this last one. She is very healty and all so, no worries about it.
The doubt built up because i've read everywhere that this species is...
Hi all, my name is Joseph and i start discovering the arachnids world in 2018, watching video of Exotic Lairs and The Dark Den and, through the months, i started liking it more and more, till i decide to buy my first tarantulas in April 2019.
As today i have 24 tarantulas, all slings and only...
