Enclosure looks amazing, your scorpion will feel right at home. No lighting can “hurt” a scorpion but being nocturnal they’d prefer to have none at all. But being more natural having a spotlight providing the heat in your kind of set up would work great too
You could go the second they’re off the mothered back. But a good seller will wait until they have began eating regularly and show no signs of illness etc around I2-3
Very similar here in the UK. Apart from the fact they don’t check for animals more tax do government can have done money. Anything below £100 doesn’t even get checked just continues off the plane to the parcel depot. Anything declared over £100 gets full customs examination.
Scorpions are tanks for food. They keep going until the literally can’t fit anymore in. They’ll stop when they’re full. But if you like watching your scorps way try not to feed them as often then you’ll get more of a chance that they will not go of their food
They’re the biggest Androctonus sp. so they’re absolutely amazing as adults. As smaller scorpions they’re a bit quick but I’d recommend as a first Androctonus sp. as they’re not as “dangerous” as the other fat tails however they’re still medically significant.
Here in the UK we require a license for such species to avoid anything bad happening.
