It was premolt, now flashing some blue, probably gonna fade once the new skin hardens off, but it’s blue nonetheless maybe I won’t feed again until it fully exposes itself so I can take a look at that booty, this pic is from last Friday and haven’t seen more than legs since

    Feedback Request Asia-Pacific Forums?

I think it would be great for everyone living in their original territories, but I have to agree with the language argument since I’m not native here, just like my T’s, I’m imported by all means, do the regional thing, but also provide an option to choose which side we wanna be on

Fed it 2 weeks ago, and yeah, I have cardboard covering the ventilation holes, but they still let air through, also have smaller holes that didn’t need covering. It was out and about last night, so was able to take this pic. I saw what looks like a molt caught in the webbing, but I won’t know...

Aight, so I moved my little pokie to a gigantic 300x250x250 enclosure with a couple of questions: 1) is he/she too fat? 2) I covered the large ventilation holes with cardboard and blue tack leaving a gap half the size, can I take them off by now without my T escaping?

About live plants in tarantula enclosures

I want to make an actual tree work, but it seems like in the battle of plants vs real trees, I can’t really have a real tree here

I decided I should get me one, so I got one about a month ago. question, why does it cover its web with dirt? also, it just threw out its old molt today and I can’t reach it, even with tweezers and, look at them paws i noticed it finally started showing some blue, but only with flash, but I...

About live plants in tarantula enclosures

I’ve put a pothos with my p.metallica because I wanted to simulate a live tree and had no problems. but I want an actual tree. Has anyone had any success growing a ficus in near constant darkness? I know they’re hardy too, or should I be the one to embark on this experiment?

Plants that can survive with waterlogged roots

I’m gonna try this, it’s very popular in any school or office space in China. Not sure what it’s called, but it will root in soil, water and air. It also handles low light pretty well. Still early days for me though, that vile has been laying there all day waiting for my 1st pokie to emerge into...

    Do not disturb mode

Me too, and I've seen many other posts on FB as well, but I also wanted to just show off my little inspection window, like the little guy is being considerate or whatever.

    Do not disturb mode

I found a piece of bark that will make the most perfect hide, my boy liked it. But the next day he covered himself up and left a little window for me to check up on him. How long do they do this for? It’s only been 5 days, but is there a point where I should get worried at all?

    Water bowls vs humidity

Let’s swing this topic in a different direction (it’s my own thread, I do what I want) how different are Tarantulas webbing to true spiders? They both count on a certain level of tension to sense movement, but true spiders have stronger webs, so do they also have moisture absorbing qualities?

    Water bowls vs humidity

Thanks all, got me a better setup, and it’s not all sand. I even found a rock covered in moss to decorate http://arachnoboards.com/threads/finally-the-correct-setup.321797/#post-2951504

    Finally the correct setup

I received a brick in the mail that was packed in a cardboard box with no prints on it. It arrived exactly as advertised

    Finally the correct setup

It’s a b.smithi. And no problem, I can fill it up more. It’s only that wet because I just took my substrate out of the water, so when it dries out I can leave it as is. Why didn’t anyone tell me that coco fibre expands to 100 times its size when I put it in water? I literally have a 10 litre...

    Finally the correct setup

i finally had time to build my new enclosure and got me some coco fibre as a correct substrate. This was the dreadful setup I had for a few weeks And now I have this, even got me a mossy rock for some greenery. I just need to get a smaller hide. I passed by a tree that had curly bark...

    Water bowls vs humidity

Got a Brachypelma Smithi, and yeah I keep it outside of the airflow because that air is also much colder than the rest of the room

    Water bowls vs humidity

Threat pose is normally stationary, I had a wild caught horned baboon spider when I was 10, that thing was psycho. This little guy was marching all over the enclosure like that, but now that I fixed the water disappearing problem it’s much more chilled again. P.S. how much does an AC really...
