Pros and cons of popular tarantula YouTubers?

Tom Moran (+ his podcast) and Mark’s Tarantulas are the two that I frequently watch. Both are educational. Mark does an excellent job with the videography and his enclosures are stunning. I am not that experienced with T’s, but I recognized early on that folks like DTG did not offer an...

    Help, sling is stuck

Hopefully it is not too late, but I'd suggest cutting the rim of the cup above the hole that your T is stuck in and then very gently tearing the cup towards the hole. You may need to do this twice so that you'll be able to remove a "pie slice" section of the cup. Good luck.

    Noob Ball python question

I have a Rainbow boa that if I just leave the pre-killed rat in the cage, she'll eat it without constricting. When I use 10" tongs and wiggle the dead rat, she'll strike and wrap around it. I'd suggest using tongs to entice your python to strike and coil around the prey.

Is this normal for a beginner?

Thanks, I realize that. I have owned snakes in the past and the snake that I own now just lays around in her hide all day, but at least she comes out most nights (she is nocturnal) to stroll around her enclosure.

Is this normal for a beginner?

Thanks.. I too am fascinated by the diversity of T's and also their ability to use their spinnerets to create webs (behind their "backs") to trap or signal the existence of prey. Amazing!

Is this normal for a beginner?

Thanks for your reply... I'll probably wait a while before purchasing another one or two. I'll leave it alone and let it do it's thing.

Is this normal for a beginner?

After watching many YouTube videos of tarantula keepers I purchased a GBB juvie (1 1/4" diagonal leg span) almost one month ago. I find tarantulas and true spiders to be fascinating creatures. I started to watch the videos to overcome my uncomfortableness (not fear) of spiders. He/she has eaten...

Tarantula Guide for Beginners, review needed!

Hi Marco, I appreciate your videos and the quality of the photography. I am certain that you put a lot of time into them. I purchased my 1st T last week (C. cyaneopubescens) I hated spiders before I started watching your and Tom Moran's videos. I became much more comfortable dealing with the...
