I know you can hit ignore to block members posts that you don't want to see. But shouldn't there be a way to block someone from seeing your post so they don't even have the option of flame warring with you? Seems counter intuitive to me :)
And in no way prevents what I described.
Cheers
Everyone should just discount everything that @Feral says. She is more dangerous by far than getting info from youtube or facebook.
OP how is the spider doing?
Those 70's care guides are awesome for all the wrong reasons (just like internet care sheets):eek:
And people complain about the tarantula keepers guide!
Those backings are horrible for feeders. I rip em out of all my exo terra enclosures. If I want the look to remain I just secure them to the outside using clear packing tape.:)
Congrats on the avic! Antilles pink toe is Caribena Versicolor!
Yoshi (lacerta) has settled in nicely. He seems happy to be the dominant lizard in his own tank and loves his basking spot! He is shedding and looks very funny.
Grass lizards are doing ok. Couldn't find Dippy at all yesterday so I went digging through the substrate with a stick! I found her...
Rehoused my Pterinopelma sazimai last night. No messing around. I put the old enclosure inside the new one and it took spazzy hours to come out. Now I need to remove the old enclosure without the t bolting! This one lives up to it's name and then some.
Fed my Brachypelma baumgarteni for the...
Good to hear there are options for both! All tarantulas initially come from the wild.
All the breeders that I know of in Canada have WC clearly labeled. I have gotten some larger t's from them that were CB. But any pet store selling large tarantulas is most definitely wild caught. I bought my...
Can't go wrong with those.
Tliltocatl albopilosum are pretty fast growers in my opinion. My first tarantula has gone from a half inch sling to about 2.5 inches in about 8 months and is very calm. He retreats into his burrow when I do maintanence.
My Grammastola pulchra is my most docile t by...
When my first t had it's first molt I was a little concerned. Now if a t won't eat drokk it.
The only animals I keep where the shedding/molting process concerns me is leopard geckos. That's because they can get really messed up if their sheds go bad ( losing toes etc). Or if a t gets stuck in...
Great advice! I too have had slings look like this for upwards of 5 months. Also had slings come out of a molt, harden up and look like this after 1 feeding and molt again.
Interesting. I figured your's would have been bigger. Mine is about 1.5-2" right now. I feed Betsy about once a week and she has molted twice since I had her. Never fasted.
