Yeah, I'd probably have a dozen already if the wife hadn't put her foot down! :D

Flash is doing great, had him/her about 2 weeks now. Voracious eater, and has webbed up a storm. Settled in straight away. Aragog has built a small burrow and has already eaten, so he's settling in nicely too.

So it's been a few weeks, and I've added two more to my spood family. Meet Flash, the C. versicolor sling, and Aragog, G. pulchra sling freshly arrived today. Anansi has chunked out and is eating like a beast too, happy little family!

    G. pulchripes thinks she's arboreal?

Thanks. No heat mats, nice even temperature where she's situated. I'll just let her do her thing then. I always end up with oddball animals, got a dog that doesn't play fetch or catch too! I'm looking at a C. versicolor next, I'll probably end up with one that burrows....

    G. pulchripes thinks she's arboreal?

So I'll start by saying I'm not overly concerned as she seems happy and is eating, but this is my first t so just being thorough. My G. pulchripes has taken herself up into the top corner of the enclosure and decided that's her spot. Is this anything to keep an eye on? Substrate is dry on the...

I know a lot of people don't advocate handling, and I understand the reasons why, but this curious little one crawled right out onto my hand while I was changing the water dish out. Super chilled, had a little wander and then went back into the enclosure. Both the enclosure and I were sat on the...

    Is this odd behaviour?

I've found her sneaking out later at night and sitting on the back wall or on top of the plant, so I'm guessing that's her safe space during the day! She's taken a cricket too, so all is well. Thanks everyone.

    Is this odd behaviour?

Cool, I'll look at putting a few cm more substrate in, still got half a bucket full. Thinking about moving the tank somewhere quieter too. Its in the living room and I've got incredibly noisy kids

    Is this odd behaviour?

So I got my first T two days ago, posted from an online shop. She arrived well packaged, and seemed to start exploring her enclosure straight away. Had a good old wander around, made brief use of the two hides available to her, and then I went to bed. Woke up yesterday morning to find her in...

Thanks, I'll keep an eye on her and take them out if she starts messing around too much. They're not heavy though, weigh less than the water dish.

So I made the leap and bought my first T, G. pulchripes, 6-8cm juvenile from TSS. Arrived safe and well this morning, and s/he seems to like the enclosure so far, was out exploring pretty much straight away. World, meet Anansi (Nancy if she turns out female).

    Enclosure advice for G. pulchripes

Hi all, I've got an 8cm G. pulchripes winging its way to me on Wednesday, and I'm eager to get the setup just right. I've read through a lot of the beginner advice threads on here as this is my first t, thanks for the info it's all been incredibly helpful. So, I've gone for a medium flat...
