    Stromatopelma calceatum

Would it be unheard of for a mature male of the species to be ~2"? I might have one, it was sold to me as a "featherleg spiderling" but he is obviously no sling as he's been making sperm webs for months. :p

    Good ole PetCo

I was told the same thing by the manager at my local petco. The manager I talked to made it clear that because of peta none of the chains were to sell any animal that isn't in good condition. I got a free rosie that was missing 2 legs and he told me he'd call if they got any other injured...

    Whats with my Avic

I've never seen this with my avic so I can't really help much, but I've read in other threads that it's also possible this is just something like a yeast infection. Here's a link about it: http://www.arachnoboards.com/ab/showthread.php?s=&threadid=22361&highlight=yeast+infection I hope...

    My Costa Rican Zebra...

As long as she looks healthy and has a full abdomen, don't worry. My zebra hasn't eaten a thing since I got her (it's been about 3 months) and she's just fine! If your spider has a bald patch on her abdomen, check to see if it's gotten darker. If so, she's ready to molt. In any case...

    ZeBRa WoRRieZ . . aGaiN

My zebra rarely sits in her water dish, but the few times i've seen her in it the humidity in her tank was a little lower than usual. After i raise it to her norm she usually goes back into her burrow. Hope this helps, good luck!
