    Mould?

I thought it might be. But they've been in the same container for over a year now, and probably don't get watered as often as they should. Also, it's still fairly warm at moment (28°C)

    Mould?

Hey, all. Noted these white spots in with my Selenotypus. The wife thinks it might be mould. Any thoughts?

My slings have developed a brown stripe.

Hey everyone. Quick question. Both of my slings (theyre both aprox. ½ an inch across) have developed a faint brown stripe on their abdomens. Does this mean they'll be molting soon? They're both Selenotypus Sp. Wallace.

    Good Names for T’s?

My wife demanded that the only condition to me getting T's was that one of them be named Arigog. (She's a huuuge Potter fan.) The other T, I named Saenathra. (I'm a bit of a Tolkien buff). We just assumed one is male and the other is female. We'll probably be sorely disappointed.

    Prepping my Substrate.

Hey everyone, Was getting ready to do my first soil change out and my spider guy said I should microwave the soil for about three minutes (I'm using peat moss), to kill anything living in the soil. Is this really necessary or is it a waste of time?

    Introduce Yourself

Hi, All. I'm Mark from Western Australia. I'm new to the whole tarantula keeping deal. So I'm reading a lot and doing a bit of a crash course in invertebrate care. Just got two Tarantulas (Selenotypus Sp. Wallace) last week and they're doing well so far. Fingers crossed I'm doing everthing right.
