I'm pretty sure that the carapace didn't come off during moulting. Any experience or suggestions to remove it? Look at tge pic to see double moustache

Just curious, why are you interested in keeping slugs? I've never considered it as an option in life, thus... my question.

There's huge banana slugs around here. Next time I see one imma get some pics. I'll be sure to use a banana for scale.

I think this is correct. Thanks everyone for the replies. This specimen was huge, diagonally at least 1.5 inch leg span. The tire it's on is 4 feet tall and those letters are half a playing card I'd say.
