Out of fear for the safety of my P Irminia's health ive decides to move her out of that same type of jar into a yoghurt/smoothie glass i bought a few weeks ago thats made of acryllic, i drilled holes in the lid and on the sides. Hope shell do well in that one. Thanks again for all the input and...
the jar was a little less than 5 inches in diameter, and the sling was around an inch, the complete DLS is something im not really sure of however, i didnt measure him when he was completely spread out but he was a pretty decent size for the enclosure.
the whole lid is riddled with holes, i dont think air circulation is a problem, it has more holes, and bigger holes, that regular small vials that most use for smaller slings, i used them aswell but they outgrew them quite fast, i have my Irminia in the same exact kind of jar, i used to keep my...
thanks so much for the input, for all the responses, and everything else. I kept him in a thorougly cleaned pizza sauce jar, dont know if they are the same everywhere but when you buy a "do it yourself" pizza kit here, we get a little sauce jar with them. I used a cleaner i saw on the internet...
So, a little over 2 months ago i got my first 2 old worlds. A C Darlingi and a C Meridionalis. My darlingi died within a month. She looked lethargic from the start and she had molted in transit. She wouldnt eat or move around much at all, and she barely dug at all. I was heartbroken but in the...
how is that being triggered? also i do respect your post, you were being friendly, allthough the other person was being a bit more sly. Thats not being triggered in my opinion. I went through my own experience in an informative way, not hysterical or triggered in any way. But if you think thats...
the problem with my Meridionalis is that he won't web, nor burrow. Next time i watch his enclosure imma put in a hide and see if he'll use that, i have a store of corkbark pieces that i got for like 10€ which i use for my T's except the Ceratogyrus's (because they are usually obligated...
yeah buffaloworms are like less than half the size of mealworms and are great for slings but the main reseller that me and Vanisher has used has quite expensive shipping if you dont order alot of insects ^^
well since there arent many places where i live where mealworms arent the smallest feeder available and the shipping here is quite expensive. The reason i feed prekilled mealworms is because i dont want to order stuff like buffaloworms or baby crickets/roaches is because id much rather walk for...
They look fine, no questions about that, they act fine aswell, even a bit overenergetic on the meridionalis part. And im not worried in the slightest, just curious and thirsty for knowledge
I have 4 species in total. My first and biggest T is my N Chromatus. And i have 3 slings around the same size. C meridionalis, C darlingi and a P Irminia. My N Chromatus eats every time i present her with a cut up mealworm. Same with my Irminia. But neither of my ceratogyrus's wants to eat. I...
sure its more fun but also more risky, in some of them you don't even know if its an arboreal or if its a terrestrial/fossiral species and you won't know exactly how to care for them. Of course the suspense is more thrilling but alot of people on this forum will highly disagree and a few would...
Wish i could help you but im from sweden, dont know if "Fear not Tarantulas" have mystery boxes but shes a fantastic person. Portsmouth tarantulas i think have em but im not sure
Thats some really nice additions! my Nhandu Chromatus is one of my favourite species and i love her to death! hope you enjoy them all! did you ask for new worlds only or did you just recieve a bunch btw?
rehoused and set, he only lived in the vial for two days so dont worry, and he did molt in there, hence why i didnt just do it as an impulse. Getting confirmation from experienced people felt like the right decision. He now lives in a jar where he can burrow as much as he wants. Rehousing went...
