Tends to go down into that little tunnel as opposed to up, so I'm not to worried. It's just so cute seeing it walking around a patting stuff down though. Who needs this stupid smart tv? That's enough entertainment for me.
Literally what is happening. It is the most adorable thing. It did all this to put this tiny little tunnel under the moss, and everytime I look it's packing some substrate somwhere like an indecisive home decorator.
She's looking real nice in her new habitat. She adapted fairly quick. Considering when I 1st got her she was all over the walls. Yesterday i saw her notice her tunnel collapse walked in one way came out the other, and she was all over the walls again and even sitting by her water dish, which she...
I too also use coco fiber. And after the month it's been on it, the coco fiber has literally just turned into crumbles, and I started it as semi damp then put a top coat of super dry so the 2 I had procured would stay off of the walls. And the coco isn't suitable for my T missing a spinarette...
Don't have rocks or anything truly heavy in it. I just have half cylinder petco wood piece for the entrance of the burrow on the top and a small petri dish water bowl. But even piled up dirt can make the lightest of feather cork barks into an asteriod.
So i went to lowes and got a 40lb bag of...
My concern isn't the substrate. I know they can fair well in the dirt. My B cabocla literally flasshes a leg or a booty every so often in it's tunnel to let me know it's alive. But the thing is what happens if you have something like a piece of wood collapse down with the substrate. And I'm...
1st off thank you all for your comments and recommendations. I'm gonna stop at lowes today and grab a nice bag of top soil. I'll see how she fares with that first before any additional additives. If it works out well for her then i might just use it for everybody and use up my left over coco...
So I have multiple T's that tend to dig. I feel like it is kinda important to notice how your T want's to live and try to help aid that living style to the best of abilities. So my big question for the night is substrate mixtures. I want to start experimenting with substrate mixtures for my more...
All of my T's seem to be pretty chill, including my little OBT. For some reason I find it to be extra cute. I was honestly expecting to see tiny threat postures all the time which the idea made me giddy to be honest. But it's honestly just a twerking death potato. It's the only sling I have that...
Yes I am aware that the sub has to go somewhere, obviously... lol. But this is weird in comparison to all the other T's I have that have been moving substrate; my A. seemanni made her hide/burrow deeper (still see her excavating from time to time); my P. lugardi made herself a nice sized cave...
Ok... so my G. rosea (red color form) sling has been moving subrstrate like a maniac. I've been watching it make this mountain that littlerally touches the top of the enclosure. Is there a reason for this, or has anybody else's done this? I attached another 2 pics just to get the idea of how I...
I felt it leaned more towards male as well, but the molt is literally see through which is probably why it's so blurry with the papertowel underneath it. Only time will tell.
Ill just wait fo a later molt. Upon inspection after it dried up again there is a fairly obvious white line... But I think I'll call this one inconclusive because it is way too small. Thanks for taking a look though and trying.
Dang... we had to go Nostradamous, lol. I'm very prepared for longer stints. I think I've seen my fossorial T twice since getting her. I guess I'm just anxious because I got this one around the same time I've gotten some other slings, Brachypelmas and an Aphonopelma and 1/2 of them moulted after...
My Bumba Cabocla diasappeared into it's burrow and closed the door. It's been close to 2 weeks now. I'm just wondering when I'll geto to see this little guy. Does anybody have any timeframes for how long it took slings of this species to open the burrow back up? I'm pretty sure it's fine...
