Oh tyvm I'm glad to hear that! Yep all I see now are her claws poking out from under the rock. It was so cool to be able to see her like that. Now I know there's nothing to worry about when she does that.:)
No, she wasn't wandering around or clinging to the underside of her rock. She's been back under her rock so everything seems "normal" again. Sounds like I was just a new mom too worried about nothing lol.
No, the breeder I bought these from had some that were about three times as big. And there's the giant isopods that live in the ocean that get around a foot long.
Her tail was curled as usual but not around her. Her claws were in normal position. I think she's captive bred....I try not to buy wild caught anything. Are most flatrocks still wildcaught? Not sure how old but definitely not full grown yet.
Yeh maybe I'm worried for nothing. I've seen her come out at night but she would run back under her rock when she saw me. I was lucky enough to get a picture of her under the blacklight...I had to be really quick before she ran back in. Never seen her do it during the day and not go running...
Yes, I realize sitting still is normal, but hanging out in the open hasn't been normal for her. Maybe its a new behavior and I have nothing to worry about.
I wouldn't think she is very hungry, she just ate not long ago and doesn't appear to be hunting....she's just sitting there. I hope your're right :) She hasn't molted yet since I've had her so I don't know molting behavior yet. And she's usually really skittish....she sometimes partially...
