    Leaf litter

That has been my experience as far as no mold or weeping happening from the stuff I’ve bought so just wanted to make sure all was ok.

    Leaf litter

    You are correct.

    Leaf litter

Makes sense I guess! Thank you. I’ve just never seen much of that from the leaf litter I’ve bought in the past. Just wanted to make sure it’s ok to use. Springtails are plentiful and the Cubaris sp. Panda Kings are starting to expand, didn’t want to mess it up!

    Leaf litter

I collected fallen oak leaves around where we are. I put them in the oven at 200 degrees for 20 min. They seemed dry and warm. Added a few to the enclosure to give some fresh leaf litter. They were very pungent for the first week or so. Then they started to moisten up (due to higher humidity...

    Feeder insect challenge

Well I did have that but we live and travel the road full time in a large 5th wheel. Only have one T due to that. I enjoyed breeding them, but it’s not an option now. Very true! Thanks for the additional options. Good to see ya still around!

    Feeder insect challenge

I’ve never come across this challenge in my nearly 25 years of keeping reptiles & invertebrates. I am currently located in greater Alexandria, Minnesota for the summer. I cannot find anywhere that sells feeder insects at all except wax worms for fishing. I’d have to travel 30+min to an hour one...

I miss mine even though it was a pet hole most of the time. Beautiful Ts that are very reclusive and quiet.

    Cubaris sp. “Panda King”

I am starting to see the same in regards to them being fairly easy to keep. They are my first species too. It seems like a lot of species are hyped up…same thing happens in the T world.

    Cubaris sp. “Panda King”

That is what I am hearing and hoping for. Most of mine are burrowed or under bark. But I know they are doing well because food is getting eaten and there are little ones running around that weren’t there before. Springtails are booming too!

    Little one just hanging out

Was awesome indeed! He was super cool and chill. Haha no worries! I didn’t ask for identification but was curious as to what it was. Don’t be shy.

How I Got Over My Arachnophobia

We don’t have any wild Ts in the house. We travel the country for a living so we do get to see the occasional wild one down south and the south west when in those areas. I was referencing “seeing them” as seeing spiders in general.I wasn’t 100% clear in my writing. No worries and no harm! Great...

    Little one just hanging out

This awesome little guy showed up on my lawn chair arm yesterday while I was out tinkering. It just hung out and wasn’t too concerned about me at all. Had neon green on its Chelicerae. Didn’t capture the color on the quick phone shots.

How I Got Over My Arachnophobia

Great post! I too had arachnophobia for some time. I kept everything under the moon from scorpions to centipedes to hot reptiles and everywhere in between but never got over the tarantulas. Then about 4 years ago I became more and more fascinated by them. Got a T. Albo (b. Albo then) and that...

    Cubaris sp. “Panda King”

Added more substrate and leaf litter (a while ago). Feed shrimp pellets and zucchini twice a week. Substrate kept moist. Humidity levels on the higher end. Trying to let 1/3 of enclosure dry a bit to see if they prefer to be able to regulate or not. They have already started to multiply! Very...

    User Docwade87's Ts

    C. Leetzi We’ve been on the road for 8 months now. The only T I kept out of entire collection due to size, and beauty. I had to sell my collection and reptiles due to us taking a life change and traveling the country Fulltime. It’s been an amazing journey and this little gal has done well...

    Cubaris sp. “Panda King”

No worries! The more I’ve read the more I’ve noticed that if established they will produce quickly. Which is fine. Still seeing varying notes on it though. Cheap? I’d say they still carry a decent price tag compared to the more popular and definitely more prolific species. Although they have...
