I looked up the genus offered, from though he's more white than orange at the moment, he looks pretty close to an Arcuphantes arcuatulus from what I've seen of him! Hopefully he's a common enough spider around these parts so he finds an appropraite gal!
I'm in Northern BC, just about smack dab in the middle of the province! Let me try to get a photo of the little guy when I open the lid. I just dont wanna disturb him much, one of his front legs is a little weak looking but hes using it, I hope his molt went okay!
After photo comments: I...
Will do! I gave him a tiny misting today for a bit of water to replenish his little tank, I feel so blessed to have been a part of his molt! Thanks for the help, I can't wait until his little tuxedo butt is ready to go find a girlfriend! Nature is so amazing :)
I figured so! It's currently around 10 C in my area, is it safe to release him outside? Otherwise theres an area near one of the maintainence closets in my apartment where I always see tons of webs where he can roam!
My friend found this little girl/guy in his house in the corner above the the doorframe and brought it to my house for me to keep because he didn't want it hanging around. It seems to spin sheet webs but I'm not at all sure, my eyes and camera aren't good enough to make it out through the...
Bru, Tech Destroyer and Queen of the Bunk Beds has the most expensive kill list I've ever dealt with.
1 Surround Sound System
1 Stereo
1 Mattress
1 Entire Bed Set [She gave birth on my bed when I wasn't home instead of the 'nesting area' she had 'scoped out' for herself :banghead: Yes, the...
Oh my! That's an adorable name!
The vials do look pretty small, don't they? Mr(s) Parker will do really well in those little containers however, just add a hearty amount of substrate for it to play around with. If you want to have a little fun with the little enclosure, pack the fibre around a...
Firstly, I'd like to ask for clarification- Were you attempting to offer prey right after it molted? You should wait at least a week after a molt to offer any food items to your T. Their fangs and bodies are incredibly fragile for the first week after a molt and they can be attacked and preyed...
I've heard of those Houdini spiders, that would be heart-stopping and thrilling to have to rehome :0 Somehow the pain of bites doesn't scare me, but that's likely because I've been tagged by dangerous spiders in my area that hurt immensely despite relatively small size [and my cousin's very...
Thank you for the response :) I tried to search beginner T info but was mainly concerned about my eyes rather than my hands, I wasn't sure if my ocular sensitivity would make me more responsive to the hairs. Hairs on my fingers don't bother me a bit, as long as the cloud is small and doesn't...
Thank you so much! I had heard that C. Versicolor does kick hairs, but maybe it's unique for that! I actually prefer the brown/black tarantula species personally, they look so elegant! I did not know about different methods of scattering hairs though, I will look into them! An arboreal would be...
Hello, this is my first post on Arachnoboards! Kind of intimidating, but I'm very excited to be here and very excited to get into the hobby!
I have done research into what I will need and information to get off the ground as a beginner to the hobby, however when I look into beginner T's, I'm...
