    L. violaceopes drowned?

I'm sorry guys but I cannot take a picture at the moment. I will get one out as soon as I can. This is a very good point. It was about time for it to molt, so I am sure something like this could have very well happened. A bad molt could have ended it's life. There might not have been anything...

    L. violaceopes drowned?

I'm sure it is something else, I did so much research on these guys specifically because I wanted to challenge myself with a more advance species. It is not only frustrating having a tarantula die, but not knowing why. I only think it drowned because it's conditions are perfect in every way and...

    L. violaceopes drowned?

I've woken up to find my Black Widow laid an egg sac and that apparently my L. violaceopes has drowned in it's water dish. It is confirmed dead, lifeless in a death curl inside it's water dish that is smaller than it. The sling is about 1.5-2" and it would have no reason to have needed to be in...

    Enhancing millipede color with diet?

I didn't mean to say coloration I meant to say exoskeleton. I wasn't going to comment on their color.

    Enhancing millipede color with diet?

The only thing that effects your millipedes coloration is Calcium. Give them more of this through Repashy products and eggshell powder.

    Newbie Interested in Purchasing Tarantula

I am the opposite and just barely getting into keeping millipedes, I feel the same way about them. SO many questions but yet so curious. 1) Go for a terrestrial new world to start. Something like an Aphonopelma chalcodes (Arizona blonde) or a Grammostola pulchripes (Chacho golden knee) are both...

    Blaptica dubia roach colony help

Okay, I have done that. I will just house them separately until I can buy some females to match. Thanks for the suggestion. What the heck, Vanisher, that doesn't help me! I will come to you if I start to have an allergic reaction to my dubias xD

    Blaptica dubia roach colony help

So I just had about 65/75 dubia roaches molt into maturity and I would say about 50 of them are males. Obviously I can't feed these off because there are way too many. What would you guys with fairly large colonies do?

    Pick one genus

I would choose Grammastola just for the pulchra. Thankfully we don't actually have to make this choice ;)

Dubia with edema in the wing

I have had something similar happen to a male lateralis roach's wing and it didn't effect him or any of the others. He mated, died later, and was fed to ants. No one was effected so I would assume that there is nothing wrong. That was over 3 months ago. The edema was not too large but you could...

    Caring For a Aphonopelma Sling

    1) Your sling will get enough water from the food it eats and the condensation in and around it's enclosure and substrate so keep it somewhat humid for it but don't drown it. 2) Try to get cross ventilation in the slings enclosure for the best results but as little as 3 or 4 air holes will do...
