    Missing Scorpling?! No Trace!

Small scorpions can also climb the silicone rubbery stuff they use on the edges of cheaper terrariums.

    Scorpion Breeding Troubles

Thank you, and yeah it was her first brood with me, I've had her for around 6 months now so I can't say for sure it was her first brood ever. I'll keep the other stuff in mind, I figured it might just be not the right season for the temperate species but again there's not a lot of information...

    Scorpion Breeding Troubles

So two parts to this thread The first part is my Hottentotta hottentotta gave birth, I was expecting it because she is an adult female and I know they're parthenogenetic, but she gave birth kind of buried in a lump of sphagnum moss and most of her babies didn't make it onto her back. I set up...

    Longimanus vs Spinifer granular patterns

No this is really helpful! Thank you! I've seen the paper with the shaded region denoting where the granular regions are, but when people talk about "longimanus has granules more linear" and "spinifer have granules more in a curve" its hard to picture that with just shaded regions. The side by...

    Longimanus vs Spinifer granular patterns

Hello! I've seen in a couple keys and identification guides that the best way to tell apart h. spinfer and h. longimanus females is the granulation patterns on their carapaces. Unfortunately I can't seem to find a lot of good pictures of their cephalothoraxes, was wondering if someone could...

    Substrate and isopods

Personally I would not use isopods with inverts. I used to think dwarf whites were safe, but I've also heard stories of them eating healthy adult scorpions. You have to think of isopods more like shrimp than millipedes, they're opportunistic feeders.

    ID help; smeringurus and scorpio

Found these two at a con, sold as "dune scorpion" and scorpio maurus. The dune scorpion looks too orange for it to be mesaensis, someone suggested s. aridus. Unfortunately don't know locality. And I was wondering if the s. maurus was a palmatus too.

    Substrate and isopods

The babies (manca) are really small and burrow, it's almost impossible to get all of them out. Usually you just accept losses, if they've been reproducing a lot it won't be that big a hit.

    Diplocentrus peloncillensis Questions

So I just got this species at repticon, I had a couple questions about their care. I know they stay kind of small, do you think this one is full grown? Any idea as to the sex? And do they gorge or will they stop eating when they are full?

    Isopod ID (new species?)

Okay, so I had bought these as a. dentiger off a seller on FB. While packing my order, however, he realized that these don't look like a. dentiger at all and asked if I was still ok with having them. I said of course, and I told him I had a microscope that I could use to take some close ups to...

    Hisser story

So something interesting happened to me at Repticon last weekend. A bit of backstory, I'm an avid isopod keeper, and have been branching out into other inverts, including two milli species and a scorpion. I also have a general fear of roaches, based on the fact that there were giant flying ones...

    Sexing my flatrock scorpion?

Just got my first scorpion! I removed his hides temporarily while I fed him so I could be sure he ate, still coming up with an efficient feeding system. Any thoughts on his sex? I'm 65% sure hes a male, but I only caught a brief glimpse of his underside. Help?
