Thanks. I just wasn't sure if there was anything special I needed to look for. :D And as far as gender, I know I have a 50/50 shot. I'll try buying a sexed spider for my next one (I want one terrestrial and one arboreal [likely a pink toe of some sort] and maybe one OW if I feel brave:razz...

Ok...next week I am getting my G. aureostriata from a local dealer (Botar by Eights) and I am going to his house to pick my tarantula out (he has several in stock). What do you look for when picking out a one inch sling?

One last question... The internet seems to fail me yet again. What do you recommend feeding such a small spider? Flightless Fruit Flies, mini meal worms, small crickets? Just want to do it right...:D

I'm so glad my cat sits still for baths. She's not happy about it, but she grudgingly accepts it. Since your cat has such an issue with bathing, I recommend getting Frontline or Advantage as a monthly preventative so you won't have to worry about it. Stay away from Hartz brand though...there...

Alrighty, next week I am getting a Chaco Golden Knee. It will be roughly an inch in size. What size of housing would be best? I have read that the little guys get stressed and die from too large of housing. And I don't want that to happen. I intended to have it in a 10 gallon aquarium...
