Brand New Pair Of Diamond Pythons [DUW]

Hey all, so today was one of those great days where I got to go to the airport and pick up some new herps from AAE I bought this pair of diamonds from AHC from a seller in NSW who was an amazing lady to deal with.. not sure if she is on APS. Went and picked them up at 1.30pm then swung by a...

    My Axolotl

Definitely bred here.. no imported amphibians are allowed into Australia. All axolotls in pet shops would be many, many, many generations captive bred here in Australia. Yeah they're extremely strict. We're allowed only native reptiles, with a licence. Some states aren't even allowed that and...

    My Axolotl

No, no native salamanders of any type in Australia.. axolotls are from Mexico as you say.. up in the highlands I believe Fungus is a good name hey haha dunno how it came up but it just stuck! When they are young, as Fungus is, a live diet is best for them. As they get older they can be put...

    My Axolotl

They can reach maturity and metamorphose into the adult form (there's one doing so at my pet shop) but they mostly remain as this, the larval stage. They can mate and reproduce in the larval stage (very unique). They're hard to tell from other larval salamanders. I can't believe they're so...

New Photos of Green Cheek Conure (DUW)

Only non-native reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates are prohibited, plus some others probably. Axolotls are the only non-native herp we can keep. Can get all sorts of non-native birds (from quakers to conures to macaws) here as well as non-native fish (discus etc) and of course non-native...

New Photo of My Ackies (DUW)

These are red 'sandfire' ackies and I got them for $250 each, which is the going price for ackies over here in Australia. The common name isn't Ackies monitor, but is spiny tailed or ridge tailed monitor. Varanus acanthurus.. really awesome pets and great fun to have around. WAY better than...

    My Axolotl

I like it very much. Eats well.. will accept roaches and mealworms off the long tweezers but at the moment I'm feeding it live tubifex worms. Just suck some up with a syringe and put them in the tank, he tracks them down and eats them.. cool stuff, and he's already growing nicely.

New Photo of My Ackies (DUW)

One of them is fairly "tame". As you can see I can pick him up without a worry, and he is quite content being with me for a while but eventually gets a little antsy and wants to go back.. some days he doesn't want to be touched, but normally is fine and I can stroke his head and everything. The...

    My Axolotl

This is my axlotl, Fungus. I got him a little while ago and he is awesome. Started off pretty boring and not moving but now has settled in and is often moving around the tank and eats like you wouldn't believe... Hope you enjoyed!

New Photo of My Ackies (DUW)

Took some photos of the ackies. I have two, but only one is good haha the other just hides in the log all day every day. This is how I found one of them sleeping the other day. This was right as the lights turned on for the day so he must have spent all night like that - hilarious...

Rehoused Some Of The Crew Today (Aussie Ts)

Hey all. Haven't posted up invert photos in a while. Today I rehomed my sarina into a better container so got some photos. I also upgraded some slings (2 out of 4 got away from me and I had to chase them around the verandah... adrenalin pumping stuff). Anyway here are the photos. Firstly the...

    koche

Beaut lizard, but two questions.. Why is he a German bearded dragon? Was he bred in Germany or something? All beardies are Australian haha Also, the Aboriginals had literally hundreds, if not thousands, of dialects. Each tribe had its own language.. any idea of which dialect Koche comes from?

G'day there guys! I am hoping to get my venomous snake keeper's licence here in Australia. I should then be able to keep venomous snakes (clearly) - particularly the Australian elapids, because they are amazing snakes! Also.. we can't keep any exotics here hahaha Does anybody here keep...
